I've been saying for a while now that they're gunna make a sequel to the Late Shift.

Based on the true events concerning the selection of a late night TV talk-show host. 'Johnny Carson' was nearing the end of his 30 year role as host of the _Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The (1962)_ , and TV executives were desperate to sign the best replacement host. The choice was between Jay Leno and David Letterman. The choice was not simple or straightforward because other TV networks were also interested in both contenders. What went on behind the scenes defies belief.
Part 2 will focus on what's currently going on. Conan/Letterman/Leno. Kimmel and the Brittish guy on the sidelines. This project will not go into production for a few years, but mark my words, it will happen. Dust has to settle first.
