Whats up with Edward Norton being Bruce Banner though? And whats up with this new Hulk movie anyways? Is it a sequal? A requal? A new story all together? It says on Wiki that the rights to the movie were acquired and it was re-written by Norton that revolves around the origins connected with the comic book and the series. But werent the TV series and the comics different? TYhere was a David Banner and a Bruce Banner.

This shit is confusing.

Norton was a good choice considering the caliber of actors they are now having play superheroes. Bale, Downey, etc.

Total re-imagining of the story.

Lou Ferrigno has a cameo in the movie.

Most important - will the movie be the cut Norton & the director liked or the one Marvel/Universal had done to shorten the movie?

I'll actually consider seeing this one, where as, the previous film I had no interest in seeing and have to this day seen less than 5 min of.

Hulk has never been near the top of my list of characters.

An interview I read with the director, he said its a completely new look at the movie, he said they're treating it like the 2003 movie never existed.
Thats what I was seeing as well. Kinda hard to sweep the 2003 movie under the rug, thought, as it has a high marvel brand on it.

Im sure the Hollywood studios will use the one most appealing to the average movie goer...i mean, it is one of the first "Summer blockbusters".

And I had no idea that Norton was a writer. Thats pretty fuckin dope. I am gonna see this regardless, as I LIKED the first one.

Worked for Batman which was a far more successful franchise.

He usually has something in his contract so he can do edits and re-writes (see American History X).

The guy that wrote the last two X-men movies and Elektra wrote the screen play and Norton did the re-writes.

Good point, although the OG Batman movies had more than one and is remembered for such characters as Penguin and The Joker played by De Vito and Nicholson....those movies will NEVER be forgotten or swept under the rug.

Meh, the last two X-Men were cool, but elektra was unwatchable.

Though the point of the new Batman was to sweep the subsequent films under the rug, not the first and to lesser extent second films. If the Batman series had started off the way Hulk did they would have switched things up real quick or just abandoned the idea all together for a long time.

The Hulk movie did a lot to set the comic book to film genera back from the progress that had been made.

Another reason why Norton was a valuable and wise choice for the film.

And this one sounds like it's gonna out do the first one...

New batman is guaranteed to shit on it though...
I agree. Hulk is one of my favorite comic characters, and the first film was fucking horrid. This one should be a lot better.

But werent the TV series and the comics different? TYhere was a David Banner and a Bruce Banner.

This shit is confusing.

They're the same man. His comic name is Bruce Banner, they used the name David on the TV show because the producers felt Bruce was a "homosexual" name, and it would make people not want to watch. lol. Same character- Different name.

And as other people have stated, this is a whole new story (the correct one I do believe).
I'll go see this, should be pretty good. At least worth admission price. I'm going to see Iron Man tonight, I hope its good.

Ferrigno's voice has a cameo in the film. Hulk shouts "HULK SMASH!"...that's Lou's voice.

Also, this will be the first ever comic movie crossover mixing the same scenes within the Iron Man Movie and the Incredible Hulk. It's something like Stark meets with characters from Hulk's world in an effort to determine what kind of firepower can actually stop the Hulk.

Also, stay after the credits of Iron Man to see a surprise dialog with another Marvel character cut entirely from the Iron Man theatrical version. I won't tell you who it is, but I can tell you that he's hunted down characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, and others as well as having a rivalry with Mephisto and Kraven. AFTER THE CREDITS ROLL FOR IRON MAN.

The only reason the last hulk wasn't good and total shit, is because it wasn't INCREDIBLE. Hence the name of the new hulk movie. and this one's gonna have an ACTUAL villain. should be good.
