I know Mark's CD has got the internet going nuts, and I'm like the last kid on the cyber block with this shit, but i just felt i should chime in with the cocaine blunts seal of approval. I snagged it out of my overly neglected PO box last week and I was super happy to get some unsolicited shit that it was, y'know, music i actually enjoy and write about here, and not some weird post-anticon basement demo or something. Those are less tolerated now that I'm in Jersey and Princeton Record Exchange credit isn't nearly as good as DC's CD Game Exchange. Anyway, I had this 2005 collection of the Bay's hyphiest hits in my car all weekend and I confirmed that it's got a dope track selection AND is mixed well. The Bay's still the most unfairly overlooked rap area in the world, and this is a good introduction as to what's been killing it over there for the past six months or so. In fact it's so dope that we'll overlook the fact that J-Zone's already got his own very nice Ig'nant Mix series going. It's way cheap, so cop it at markmarcelo.com.
