one, im surprised at the amount of non-white people using "wiggers"...i fucking hate that term...

and come on, there is NO racism against white people on here...so quit bitching...as much as the white kids on here would like to think so so they can complain to their friends about it, its just not happening.

sterotypes and racism are not the same thing!

and are white people mad at being called wiggers? LOL!!!! for any white person to complain about being called a wigger is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!! Think about it, if the worst thing a white man can be called is a "wanna be black man" ... its really demeaning black people. To say the worst thing a white person could be is BLACK!

I hope every time someone calls a white person a wigger, a black man stands up and knocks him out! and then says "fuck you! we dont claim him"

...what?

i think you mixed yourself up somewhere along the lines.

wanting to be anything you arent is bad/worst case scenario. that shows extreme insecurity. its not just in the case of white people acting black (whatever 'acting black' means...). it aint no reverse racism shit, its just a case of someone wanting to be something that they cant be. otherwise known as fantasy. if someone wants to be something it dosent demean the thing they want to be, if anything it empowers it.

people idolizing tupac to the point of dressing, looking like him and adapting his style and attitude in turn empowered tupac, even in his death.

mockery is different than fantasy. now if a kid was mocking a race, sure. knock em out for that.

agreed. going dumb aint gonna make the black race look any worse than gangsta rap already does.

id rather kids talk about going stupid and going dumb than selling crack and shooting people...atleast theres a fun aspect to it in comparison to painting genocide..

not that i even listen to hyphy/'go dumb music'...
but on a moral level i think going dumbs a little less to worry about
i don't agree wit you on this...there is a positive side to gangsta rap that people can't seem to grasp...don't focus on the crack and guns cz the only reason it's mentioned iis cz it's daily life and records need to be sold...yes hyphy is fun i agree but it's creating a blind spot for local rap and real issues aren't being addressed anymore...

serious question:

Would you feel the same way if it wasn't hyphy, but Mob shit, gangsta shit or even some player/pimp shit that was jumping off right now instead?

Were/are you equally critical of Short or Spice 1?

Thanks,

STRATEGY

you dont have to agree with me, because were talking about how ignorant white people view black people/music, not how i or you view black people/music.

you have to step outside of your own standpoint sometimes and get on the other side of the fence to understand things from another persons perspective.

Yeah, I've always felt that way about all of it. i just used the most recent "TREND," to bring attention to the overall picture. But like I said take a look at my "PIMPS OF HAZZRD," cover I'm not perfect either...

thats a given. some 'colors' (or solids..haha) are more ignorant and evil than others, check ya history books.

anywho...IMO,
rap is akin to reality tv or virtual reality...

people want to walk a mile in another persons shoes...

in the same way you used to watch kung fu movies and youd jump up and mimick bruce lee afterwards as a kid...alot of these kids dream of bieng just like the image portrayed on albums..

its the same thing that made kids decide fuck it, ill start wearing pink. now that so and so does it i wont look like a raging homosexual.

personally id rather a kid pop his collar and say yeeeeee and dance around like an idiot,

in comparison to thinking flipping a kilo is a cool and easy way to make some money, or deciding to tug a rag in his pocket and find out the wrong way that theres more to banging than good music..

i mean, people dont like young jeezy because hes the master of lyricism...thats not why he sold millions...its his content and 'street alure'..hes selling them information they wouldnt have heard otherwise...something they cant experience from the comfort of their gated communities.

so they see kids in oakland doing crazy car tricks and dancing funny and they say OH SHIT that sounds like fun!

at the very worst a kid getting hyphy is gonna hurt himself doing something retarded, which is pretty much, harm free.

my point bieng, the kids listening to hyphy music just wanna dance along to it all retarded. theres not much of a negative connotation to 'hyphy' except the growing use of E pills in the ghetto, which is another thread altogether..

Good points pimp... my only objection is the turning tight ones, ghost riding wips, you know things that can kill peeps, kids copying that well go figure.

people are scared of what they dont know, and the truth is,
we all hold stereotypes about other races and cultures,
so its on us to go outside of that one white person.black person, latino person or people on tv to make assumptions.
but for those who dont think race is an everday issue... yall need to open your eyes

in the end of the day its all about the complexity of our individuality, we are all so different within our cultures that we cant be defined, not by us, not by them and not by tv or anybody

do you and fuck what they say, if your a minority than we all know we have to work 10x as harder

nah homie, you missed the point altogether. and i didnt say anything about driving at all.

and the only reason i even mentioned e is because e is amphetimine-based, and as we know methanthetimine is the new crack...its a far cry from the days of 'the chronic' and cypress hills pro-pot albums..im just not with promoting a sub-analog of what hitler created for soldiers...but like i said, different thread altogether and i dont feel like typing too much more than i already have.

matter fact, the only thing i said about hyphy music is that dancing like an idiot is a better alternative than mimicking gangsters and thugs.

edit: and about the car thing..i hear that, but that goes along with alot of things...the fact that drivers ed is like 10 hours of behind the wheel...16 year olds can have cars..drivers test is hella easy..shits set up to have kids with no handles on the road..

and you gotta think of movies like too fast too furious...the racing culture..and the fact that damn near every kid wanted a lambo when he was 10..id be for pushing the minimum age for a drivers liscense to 18, if it wouldnt fuck off the kids employment chances.

lifes a bitch and then you die.

we are dealing with modern slavery, modern day mind control, and modern day black face.

white people with gold/platnium teeth mocking us. thats modern day black face.and if u cant see that then u are blind and u need to call on the hands of god to ask for your vision back.

sublminal slavery/racist/prejudice messages. like kmel giving away free fried chicken during black history month.....but wait, this gesture got swept under the ruG!!!. and people let that shit slide.

hyphy has 3years before the masses get tired of maybe not even 3 (im speaking of terms of the theme music behind it).

meanwhile i predict 5 more deaths in frisco within the next 2-3 weeks because of the deaths that has already occured, and this will come from pure pay back or retaleation (cant spell).

of course whites know what racism is, hell... they invented it.

thats like a whore not knowing about sex..
White people invented something that is part of human nature? Among many races/countries around the world, people differentiate between each other based on skin tone. (It can be argued that white people are the 'winners', and people wanted to be lighter for some reason related to that).

However, that statement is wrong. White people didn't "invent" racism. For instance, the Hindu religion is one that differentiate between "castes", which by coincedence(?) follows that same skin tone concept; Lower castes were generally darker, whereas the lighter skinned people generally were higher castes. Hinduism outdates Christianity, and was in place officially in India until around 1940 something, but still remains in place in everyone's minds to this day. When we make such blanket statements such as "white people invented racism", we are doing an injustice to the topic at hand. You, my friend, just happen to be living in a time and a place where white people founded this country, and in doing so, had an ethnocentric type of vibe to them. Believe me, if we all lived in another country, we'd be complaining about those country's higher ups, whoever they may be.

I used to be on that, "man, america is hella racist, forget white people" tip. One day I said that to my mom during the course of a convo. (Mind you, my parents are from another country and I'm first generation). She said something to the effect of, 'why are you complaining? Of course white people rule, you're in a white country'. What we don't realize is the size of the world and how we are a small spec in it. If we were on the opposite side of the world, would we say white people invented racism? Naw, cuz we'd be complaining about the dudes in charge over there.
