Definitely the most overhyped movie this year. I heard only heard one person call it corny and was hearing nothing but good reviews. I guess it takes a little more for me to laugh these days.

I wouldn't say it was lame, but it was not as funny as many people had pointed out to me. It was mediocre, but ill probably watch it again just to see if i can change my mind.

I didn't like Old School that much either, which is the same person behind this movie.

I actually liked old school and i dont really like Will Ferrell. 3 movies that i can think of that are way funnier then the Hangover are Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, and Superbad.

Hangover is def. IMO the funniest movie since SuperBad and Old School. I prolly laughed more in the movie theater cuz i was drinking beforehand and i could relate to the plot...

For me the problem becomes the "reality" factor...like i understand most of the movie is "unrealistic" but some shit i can handle (their lost friend sitting in the Vegas sun for a day and a half, no water or food), but the tazer thing is just so unrealistic it becomes unfunny to me. It's more absurd than funny to me.

i havnt watched the hang over yet, but tropic thunder was one of the worst movies ive watched ina while

i thought the hangover was funny ass fuck....the first time i saw pineapple express i thought it was stupid..but it grew on me. and tropic thunder was not funny at all..in fact i turned that shit off about half way through

I have that same issue with many movies.


I can't turn off that part of my brain that tells me "this shit could never happen in real life" lol.

I thought the movie was pretty damn funny, but then again I was in a real good mood when I watched it. I realized with comedy's in general I have to want to laugh to appreciate it, if I see a comedy and I'm pissed off about something 9 times out of 10 I'm going to say it sucked.

On top of it, somebody getting tazed isnt funny to me. (i mean, the kid at the John Kerry thing saying "dont taze me bro" is funny, but not the situation overall, thats bullshit). So if the regular situation isnt funny, i doubt it was would be funny in a comedy.

agreed^^... I didn't find the tazer scence funny at all.. cheap slapstick humor. The naked asian man however was hilarious. Overall it was a good movie, enjoyed Tropic Thunder much much more

Every single one of my friends loved that movie. I usually like Jack Black and Ben Stiller but they, along with everything else about that movie, sucked balls. Except for Danny McBride......that dude is always comedy.
