i always thought that broad looked weird anyways. Horrible, horrible movie. Norbit was also just as bad, if not worse. God awful film. same with balls of fury. And I didn't have to see Evan Almighty to know it probably sucked harder then all of them. lots of shitty movies these days.

Honestly CB, I was disappointed with Eastern Promises, I expected much more. But it was still better then most everything else I seen. I imagine part II will be better.
Amen to all that. I DO wanna see Balls Of Fury just for the Walken dialogue...the guy cracks me up, what can i say?

I agree.. How it got such great reviews is beyond me.
I like the atmosphere of the film and William Hurt was fuckin sweet in that small cameo.

Cronenberg likes to explore extremes in sex and violence...in a psychological way as opposed to a visual way. Some like it and some dont.

By the way, just on some random shit...a good and quirky William Hurt movie is:

Rare Birds (2001)

Plot:

Dave is down. His wife lives in Washington, D.C.; his restaurant, the Auk, in an out-of-the-way Newfoundland inlet, is a bust; a drink is rarely out of reach. An odd-duck of a neighbor, Phonce, who has found ten kilos of cocaine and wants Dave's help selling it, contrives to keep Dave in town by faking and reporting the sighting of a rare bird. Soon birders descend from everywhere, and the restaurant is a success. Dave is snorting the cocaine and falling for a young visitor who helps him out at the Auk, Phonce is launching his recreational submarine, and various men who don't look like birders are poking about. When the chickens come home to roost, will Dave and Phonse have a Plan B?

No Country for Old Men was coo. I wasn't feelin the whole country vibe to it though, but that's just me.

Kingdom and American Gangster look OK, but nothing too special.

It was a pretty slacking year for movies. In the first half of the year I saw a lotta action or funny movies, just cuz I was kickin it with friends. The second half of the year I haven't really seen too many movies. Or at least not too many memorable ones.
