I had a thought while readin that Quinn thread, people always mention the Bay 'Golden Era'

When do you think the Bay's golden era began and when do you think it ended?

Which are the albums that defined it?

Which were the first few albums at the start of that era that had that unmistakable Bay sound and which were the last few really strong ones?

im fascinated to see what u all come up with

around 95-96 i'd say was the bay's 'golden era'
the luniz "i got 5 on it" along with operation stackola
sann quinn with live n direct and the hustle continues
too $hort with gettin it album #10 u cant forget that
3x'mes with stackin chips (97 but close enough)
e-40 with the hall of game and b-la with hemp museum
mac dre with the romp

concerts headlining bay artist, bay artist getting twists all over the radio, videos, CMC representing the area with videos all day, anything else i cant remember just let me know because at this moment in time the bay was off the hook. classic album after classic album during this time period.

we need to focus more on making another golden era for the bay instead of looking back at what we had if we take as much time as we do looking back and do something about making it happen it again just think of how big the bay can be again.
