independent don't mean be naiive and stupid. If an artist isn't willing to invest his knowledge then they just need to get out the way of more serious musicians. period..

I get emails.. BUT I ignored it. THEN i got a flyer when I did a show @ Water world a couple weeks ago. Saw the website.. went to it. Called the number. Registered. Got Rich to come, and a few other people. They themselves reached out to FAB. Netta B performed with an artist that paid for a slot, so with that came PK, Jacka, Portia and the Golden Mean Fam..

If it ain't clear yet..what my bruh D.E.O. is trying to say is continue to do your independent grind, but be open to make connections and network outside your comfort zone.. and he said some important people was all in the same room from MTV to 106 and park to etc etc,...but remember it ain't much about who you know, but it's who knows you.. and these type of events mos def help people get to know who you are...

its funny.... that this is such a timeless conversation.... but the reality of it is... the bays indy mentality has gotten much better and usually the niggas who tryna make it happen are shining... sorry to say...alot of them aint tight... but shyt they hustle hard... niggas shooting they own good quality videos... gettting much better music on the radio than ATL is puttin out...and to a greater extent.... we all fuck with each other no mater where you from... the complainers.. well they're needed, they're the balance to the people who dont care what the obstacle is.. they chasing that dream.... DEO your work ethic is different...
