back on topic, make 400 dollars thats all profit, drive in a clean car at 3am sipping syrup trying to figure out what to waste your money on and you might figure out where gucci mane is at in his music

i think his allure is a young black man doing well against his odds in a way. we saw a high profile court battle (snoop dogg, anyone) and saw him beat it and go on to make music. who dosent like the underdog?

im not gonna listen to gucci mane on my introspective days where im thinking about the meaning of life

in the same way i dont slap teena marie in my headphones

there is a place for all music..i dont always listen to hip hop, i dont always listen to underground and i dont always listen to south music, but ill listen to them all, accordingly. including 3-6, i have a whole lot of 3-6 albums screwed and not screwed

Gas One, that is basically what it boils down to. its like i make Gangsta music. i cuss and like talkin about shooting everybody in 16 bars. THATS WHAT I DO BEST. I hit the booth and turn into an animal. i tried to make political rap (just wasn't floatin right) back to gangsta music. I try to play it at parties. People dont wanna hear that shit. They want shit they can dance to so bitches can freak you.

...but my ears are attracted to Portishead, Blonde Redhead, Classic rock, Carl Thomas, Supreme Beings of Leisure. but i do listen to every type of rap when the mood feels right.

for example.
DRIVING: I like bumpin Down South Raps, like Gucci, Jeezy, UGK.
HEADPHONES: I listen to hip-hop. Lyrical shit. I feel more zoned
PARTY'S: its what the bitches wanna hear. Beeda Weeda, Messy Marv.
CLEANING MY HOUSE: I listen to Santana. makes my lady clean better.

Everybody bitches and bitches about rappers and how wack they are. Nobodies puttin a gun to ya head and sayin MUTHA FUCKA PUT THESE HEADPHONES ON AND LISTEN TO GUCCI MANE!!!!!!

At what point are you going to understand that just because you think it is wack doesn't make it so or that other people will feel the same way.


Some people might say that your favorite rapper is wack, which one of you is right? Neither one because better is an opinion not a fact.

If Tech did a song with Gucci... I'd consider finding a new favorite rapper.. Paul Wall is SERIOUSLY pushin' it.(Paul Wall is also terrible)

I think I'd go with Immortal Technique if that happened... at least he wouldn't sellout and rap with coochie or gucci.. sorry.. brain fart.

tech9 is a great artist. but i'd put a Gucci Mane cd in the trunk b4 i'd even look for a Tech9 cd. Just because his bass heavy beats and that comedy flow he got is entertaining to me. Dont hate on the man cuz people bump his shit.

i listen to rap for entertainment. thats what music is. it doesnt always have to make you think. some of the greatest songs in history across all musical genres could be considered simplistic or amateur sounding but people like them because they are entertaining. different people have different ideas of what entertainment is. dont get me wrong i enjoy and prefer lyrical ability like the next guy but its not a requirement.

thats funny, to me thats part of his steez and although i dont bump gucci ALL the time i dont go out of my way to skip it when he pops up on my mp3 player. the slow lazy just got out his bed flow is what kind of mood im in sometimes.
