E-A SKi Wins "Producer of the Decade" Award - By : Chad - August 13, 2012

Multi-platinum producer E-A Ski was crowned "Producer of the Decade" during the 5th Annual West Coast Hip-Hop Awards show over the weekend.

For those who don't know, in the early 90's E-A Ski helped Master P get his deal when he was based in Richmond, California. He served as both a rapper and producer for the No Limit label, producing on Master P’s early records and also releasing some of his own material like "1 Step Ahead of Y'all" though In-A-Minute/No Limit in 1992.

Mr. Ski also produced “187 He Wrote” for Spice 1, which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and at number 10 on the Billboard 200 in 1993. Spice and Ski would connect again for “Trigga Gots No Heart” featured in the Menace II Society film, as well being released as a single (with video) for promotion for the now classic Hughes Brothers film. The Menace II Society soundtrack is a platinum-certified album.

In addition to winning the West Coast Hip-Hop Awards "Producer of the Decade" honor, E-A Ski is currently putting the finishing touches on his own "5th of Skithoven" project, as well as prepping the upcoming video for "Cruise Control", which will see cameos from Danny Glover and Ice Cube.

E-A Ski is hard at work on projects with Ice Cube for Cube's upcoming "Everything's Corrupt" album, Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child, Nelly, Dr. Dre protégé Slim The Mobster, and several others.
