I think those will always be high on my list. There's more that deserve to be mentioned but from each category of music I listen to, those represent some of(if not) the best.

you would put lateralus over aenima?....i hella like lateralus too but with songs like 46 and 2,eulogy,stinkfist,aenema,pushit and H. its hard to not put aenima over it...good shit though,nice to see tool on your list

They're both amazing albums. I don't like Lateralus that much more than Aenima, but it is better to me. The main reason is probably that Lateralus is newer to me. I kinda played out Aenima. Also, the recording and mixing is crisper and cleaner on their last one.
