I got to agree with what 408Factor is saying. I think people need to teach their young and guide them to being responsible individuals. We can't rely on the governments actions to shape our children into good people. We need to do our part and keep our kids out of stupid activities that can put them in situations. We need to make sure they go to school and get educated as well as helping them understand that their are consequences to every action they make. And the other thing is everyone gets riled up as soon as someone with light skin faults someone with dark skin. Where are the protests and outcries when people in our communities are harming each other, the shit is accepted. People can only blame others so much, we aren't puppets.

ASSUMING that you are a mind reader, i guess you can claim it was racism.

i'm educating myself to be in a position to address these issues in a 3-4 years. (my past may not allow me to test for the bar, but its a chance i'm willing to take financially). i dont want to be looked at like some racist vigilante either. its 2009. racism still exists but opportunity is there for minorities. rather than oppose a society i didnt create, i strive to contribute in a positive aspect nowadays to the people that need it the most. the federal government resolved the legal realm of racism (brown v. board of education),therfore, protecting minorities rights. it was education based, but is practiced now in today's society as a whole.

rather than dwell on the racist aspect, i prefer to look at the problem that affects people the most, the revolving door we call the system.

i have plenty of ideas to address communities in poverty and get the young adults coming home from state or county involved positively.

our views may differ, but our goals are the same.

we are on the same team.

That revolving door you call "THE SYSTEM" is a system set up to keep certain races (Latin Americans and African Americans) of men, women and children in the lower class, impoverished living situation while criminalizing them and forcing them to make choices that a lot of Americans don't have to deal with.

i agree with you. the system is set up to criminalize minorities, hence, the industrial prison complex. ( same as industrial military complex)
its an economic measure.

human beings have a survival mechanism that gets triggered by poverty, thus, making choices that a lot of Americans dont have to make (selling drugs, robbery, murder). some turn to substances to escape reality. locking people up for certain crimes isnt the answer. getting them help is.

i'm speaking from experience and what i have witnessed with my own two eyes.

i agree with you 100%. but we, the minorities, bring alot on ourselves.

"THE SYSTEM" is not forcing "Amercian's," to make "choice's." On the same block you can get crack at you can goto Church, goto school, shelter, programs, and it's also the same block a football player, doctor, lawyer, rapper, truck driver, movie star, etc. excelled from. This isn't slavery. Whites and all other races have the same situations. And "THE SYSTEM," also includes whites, if it was exclusively design for all but whites, it wouldn't include "them." (I say American's not "Latin Americans or African Americans because the only African American, for example, is someone actually born in Africa then they came to become a citizen of America. I feel that this is what "they," are using the media to brainwash us into calling ourselves something other then, "them." In attempt's to make it look as though "they," own America. If were "Latin Americans, Asian and African Americans," what are white people called?)...

I'm not just on here to disagree with everybody. I just believe we have no excuse. No matter what living situation we are born into there's someone who made something positive out of it. Within the same "SYSTEM," "those," protest against.

It's not that I agreed with you after all the view sharing. The idea of Black people being responsible for their actions has ALWAYS been something the Nation (and other Black organizations) has stressed before you and I were born. This is not a new concept by any means. But if you think it's about
addressing one side and not both, you're sadly mistaken. Faults exist on both sides.

To be honest, I have a cousin who's a wonderful Christan, and works as a teacher in the public high school system and he shares views that resemble yours. What I hear in his voice is that there is love for our folk, however, he's grown bitter toward having sympathy for our people because of our continued irresponsible behavior in the midst of so much opportunity and willingness to conveniently blame others for our marginal advances. I hear his frustrations. Trust me, I do. But while our folk may be slow as a people toward responding to good guidance coming from, mentors, churches, mosques, centers, that's no excuse for certain entities like rouge law enforcement and the prison industry to capitalize on the sad state of our condition; whether, Black, Latin, Asian or White (although men of color are leading in these numbers).

As for you NOT making mockery, how could it not be? Sarcasm and laughter toward issues involving death and imprisonment are never funny. I'm not saying don't share your views...absolutely go ahead. But the MANOR and APPROACH was all wrong.

And as for the Nation advocating beating women (wife)....Whoahhhh....lol. Perhaps the gentlemen you were with had no idea on what he was talking about. In fact, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad stated, "If you ever find yourself having to hit a women, you shouldn't be with her." I dispel misinformation all the time. Many people, not you precisely, feel they know the Nation via 30 second sound bites and spin.

Just got back from the event. It was rainin hard in Sac for a minute, as we neared downtown towards the Capitol, it began to to get clear, so did the peoples vision....

Absolutely...mannn, that one Latin sista was throwin' down too! I was pumped! Reese, you saw thoughs snipers on the roof?! These katz were scared and didn't know what was going to happen. Everything was not only peaceful but the crowd size grew. We got the chair of the Black Caucus and former chair the the Latino Caucus pledging there support and more legislators inquiring about jumping on board. Next month is the next one.

That Latin Sister dam near had me bout to start drilling LOL. She fired that crowd up!! I was on post trying to see what she looked like, cause the way she was talkin I knew she must have had a garment on! You know she has definately been touched/influenced by the teachings. Yes, I did see the snipers on the roof. At the first Caravan the police looked like they had more of a prescence, I know they were there yesterday also, but they "blended in" better as not to alarm the general public like last time. Yes, and the crowd did grow. I cant wait til Min. Tony comes down from #27 with the So. Cal crew...

Just waitin on the homie Con to get his end together. real life is real life, album is all good, but I got 4 children and a household I'm supportin, and he has 3 children with a wife. So he had to put his bread towards some other things right now, but in 2 weeks, we are pressing. You will be among the first to get the CDs, and we will then go on FULL FLEDGE MEDIA BLITZ, cause I feel like there is no one touchin those 22 tracks thats on that album, I stand behaind it 408%. Those who hate just got a problem with me, or the City Of San Jose. I dont even trip tho, it is what it is, the album will speak for itself.
