Every show I've been to I see these guys (with Snake and Bat jackets) workin their asses of to set up shit, move equipment, unload the bus etc.. and to make sure mics and mixes sound good. Some of them are cool cats, I've bullshited with a few, shit they even bummed a few smokes off me haha,

Anyways, does anyone on this board ,who's close with Tech,Travis, and Strange, know how to get a roadie job for the Tech tours?

That shit would be kickass.

And to anyone on this board who actually does this shit for Strange, I salute you for workin your asses of to let tech and the crew perform badass shows each night.

Agreed. There are no job openings. Almost everyone that works Strange shows had been there since day one, or atleast close to day one. There is alot more that goes into it than just being a roadie though. Travis utilizes those guys regardless of touring or not. There is always something to be done at the warehouse, etc.

They actually picked up some new people for this tour I do believe.

I'd say if a person was really interested to contact the office in a professional manner and ask if there are any openings.

I trust you as a dependable source Heat, but I would dare to say that Travis had to have a pre-existing relationship with them because he relies on those guys to be dependable soldiers. I doubt they just applied.

I don't know, man. I've helped set up and break down most of the shows in Springfield and Nick said they could use my help on tours. I'd say it more depends your personality and who you know. It wouldn't hurt to call in, though. Most of the guys I've dealt with from Strange are good guys. They do a lot for the venue and for Travis at the same time.

You are right...I would imagine they are people that have had contact with Strange.

Travis is definitely looking for people to work, not some fanboy to drool over the artists...haha.

What exactly was your major?

AAS in Music Technology. It was a two year program. Covered a wide variety of music production, live sound, protools, MIDI, music theory, aural theory, world music. We had numerous concerts, events, , and comdeians come to campus and the Music Tech program had to set up for every one.

It was really cool

you're right but at the same time it doesnt hurt to call and ask about it or anything to help out. You'll be suprised where a single phone call or email can get you, thats what i did and i been making tracks for them ever since.
