You all gotta realize... This isnt MY EVENT... I'm working with 3 other people to put this together...
This is the breakdown.
Back in 99' for those of you that were there that summer. We all know that, that show was toooooo long and drawn on forever and cats was up there on some straight bullshit. We got money to get artist there. Dont doubt us on that. But what we dont want is a bunch of local artists tryna jump on and make the show wack. There are a lot of cats that arent able to rock a crowd simple as that. Now on Rich's side of things. He wants cats to pay to get on stage to limit the people tryna get on cause when they first heard word of this he got blew up and has to sift through em' simple as that. Paying to perform may be new to a lot of yall, but everywhere I've been, things have been done the same on a smaller scale.
For instance, if Hobo Tone wants to pay 5 Grand to perform at an Anger Management Tour show, then that can go a long way for him. Now this show, how often is Rich performing in the city. As much as I dont feel his music and he knows that shit, cats in the city love Rich. What makes yall think it wont work if 5 groups done dropped money already. So really all thats left is you alls egos for not wanting to pay to perform. Or... You all may be looking down on this event as not going to be a success at all... We got Major vendors, Health Dept out there for people, sign ups for shit and all, a lot of shit that'll draw crowds and free stuff for people. This isnt a Gangster event, we are trying to draw in high schoolers, and everything right before school starts so they can kick it one last time. I know yall got my back but Im not the major player in this event, just part of the brains to put it together.
Tech would've been a great addition to get this popping. He's my nigga, Strange is my fam of course I'm gone try to get him out there. Some people dont know the connections in this game. Its gonna go down still...

I didnt realize Rich had a big part in this. My bad....I'm sure him and his business associates can be trusted by the people who pay to play. I've envisioned an all KC Rap showcase for years now and I hope this can go down and be successful and hopefully w/o national artists stealing the spotlight.
While getting Jeezy or whoever to come out would be fun, I think it would take away from the whole intent and just whore it out.

Yeah, we're trying to make it as big as possible for as cheap as possible for the people that show up. Jeezy will get people out there alone, but we wanted someone that hasnt already saturated the city ya know...
Jim Jones and the Diplomats would do alright, but not as good as Jeezy.
Yeah, Rich is the main figure behind this all, Im out there getting vendors, and community involved to get them out there and kinda coordinate things that are going on.
