I wasn't sure about participating in this thread, but if it is in the interest of health then that's noble and I'll add my experience.

I'm 6'3 and I vary between 230-240, currently at 240. Because body frames vary, it's best to get your physicians honest opinion if you want to know if you need to gain or lose weight. I'm overly self critical of my appearance and ask my doctor her honest opinion when my shirt is off what I need to do, and she said I am at where I should be with my frame. I still want to further get cut and a bit more lean, but by getting her input, I know it's for vanity purposes, not healthy living purposes, which makes a huge difference in how I will go about it.

Instead of paying a female to tell you how good you look without a shirt how about a cholesterol test...

When I go to the doctor, I go in to get all my levels checked out, not to ask how good I look. However, I do ask for an honest opinion while I am there as I don't want to one day wake up disgusted with myself.
