The initial post was well thought out and well written, which makes it feel more convincing. However, I agree with some points and disagree with others. Tech's beats have certainly improved IMO. The hooks to some of his songs are just bogus though. Just my .02

people act like that hook is seriously THAT BAD.. Its not, the song still has a good vibe and he lets you know that shit is real.. Haha..

Its not bad seeing that the industry does that alot, just look at rick ross with "hustlin".. Does he say anything in the hook besides "everyday Im hustlin"? I dont think so but that song still went big.. But it did get annoying a couple listens in.. Haha..

Just stating an opinion on the subject brother, it's not imposing it onto others. personally i'd rather get an album every 2 or 3 years as long as it's well thought out and beautiful music. I agree with you Happy Ending, Can't Shake It, Hollier Than Thou, and Last Words are amazing songs, and personally their my favorite tracks on killer. I also agree with you that if tech made get the fuck out of here a solo song, or put Kutt and Krizz on it instead it would have been a much better song and actually just may have been one of my favorites on the album, but because of the sub-par lyrics in the last two verses i feel it really Dumbed Down the song itself and prohibited it from reaching it's true potential IMO. For you to say that everyone should just talk positivly about everything Strange Music does is very neive, while i believe that they are putting out some of the best rap music today I as well as many fans also believe that they are not infalible in what they make and believe it or not, not everything they make is gold, some of it in some people's opinons is filler. I like tech's music alot so much so that i care enough to voice my opinion on it, i wouldn't do the same about Kanye West's or 50 Cent's music cause I don't give a fuck about it, so for someone to voice their opinion on strange's business isn't a negative thing it's just custructive critisism that is coming from a good place.

WHAT UR ARGUING ABOUT IS EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT TECH IS TRYING TO DO......he made killer and said all killer no filler cuz there is something on their for everybody....club, dark, sex, and personal......i dont really care for the dark shit myself i like the personal shit but im sayin its dope that tech is so versitile....no one else is like that, and we are damn lucky that dude puts shit out regurally for his fans.....no matter what tech aint gunna make an album where every thing will please everybody....thats just the way it is......


but instead of constructive critism which he doesnt need....be happy and enjoy being a tech fan, cuz what if you were a dr. dre fan or a eminem fan and be waiting every fucking year after year.....hell im still fucking waiting for BLACKOUT 2 goddmanit, ill gladly take a few "fuck outta heres" on a cd to get them more reguarly....

He's sayings its only filler if no one likes it. Just cuz one person or group of people dislike a song doesn't mean its garbage filler.

Way I look at it is its only filler if it was thrown in to fill in an obligatory spot. If the track wasn't created for its own sake, with a purpose or concept behind it. Every single song on Killer had a reason or idea behind it, so I wouldn't say any of its filler. Even if there's a few I like less than others.

After thinking about it, I agree with your point, the songs were put in the right places, but that still dosn't make up for unimpressive tracks or tracks that didn't come to full forwishen aka reached their full potential. which granted are far fewer tracks then most albums now a days.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I've been on this forum since 2002 and have seen literally every thread get eaten alive by members - which is why I've posted, I dunno, maybe 150 times? So for not do that this time, thank you.

My hope is that Tech see's this thread and gets some insight into what his core fans are thinking. I don't even care if he see's what I wrote. What you wrote represents much more. Too often times, rappers whither away because of the "yes man" who says that every single thing he does is dope. If we care that much about Tech than we should praise him when he does something good and let him know when he does something bad. We're doing that.
