Acid Rap: pure wicket shit made by Esham back when he was the Unholy, but according to some people, Repentance is so made for Radio.. but I ain't gonna judge till I listen to that shit.

Horrorcore: commercialized version of the wicket shit for example The GraveDiggaz were labeled as "Horrorcore" by Mtv and BET a long time ago.

It's too bad that alot of Juggalos do NOT know the difference between Horrorcore and Acid Rap since some of them are new Esham fans. (And No, Zero Media, I'm not saying you're a juggalo, so don't have a fuckin ego over this! LOL)

all I can say is that Esham's "Tongues" album was a masterpeice...and
Esham IS influenced by Tech N9ne's "Anghellic"..fuck you if you disagree.

and yes, I do not Label Tech N9ne as anything cause like my Street Chiefs say:"Labels give you restrictions!"

i don't think there is much difference

like with ganxta nip he still remained ghetto street on some his albums i wouldn't classify him as one way or other.

Hmmm...You were misinformed. I got Esham's new album last night and it is not radio. There is one radio track out of twenty and that's "Woo Woo" which apperantly has a video. It's all wicket shit, regardless of the rumors. He's still spitten the wicket shit, disses Eminem a few times, D12, dr. dre.

ZeroMedia,
I guess it's kinda hard to explain "Acid Rap". Basically, Esham and Natas are the only people who have this style. It's just that no one in the rap game sounds like them, their shit is so different from everything else they had to classify there shit as there own genre. I suppose it’s like Tech n9ne. He has his own style. If tech came out and said, “Yo, I spit {insert word}” then that would make sense cuz no one in the rap game can compare to Tech. It’s just to different from everything else.

But isn't he basically sayin' the same "I'm gonna kill you and your kids" type of shit that all the horrorcore kats are sayin?

Like, I hung out at horrorcore.com for a while and they were talkin' Marz, Psychopathic etc. Then they break off into the "Acid Rap" section where they stick Esham.

Is it that "horrorcore" is more goofy, fantasy-like type rap, and Acid Rap is basically horrorcore without the stupid ICP type gimmicky shit?

Well, there is a big difference between Esham and horrocore, that much is certain. If you have followed Eshams/natas career, you will know that it's not just a gimmick or rappin about killin people, it's a lot more to it then just that. Esham/natas have never done any wacky things or ran around in make-up or any of that gay shit. Each one of their 15+ CD’s sounds completely different from each other. To them, the wicket shit they spit is real life. It's not some gimmick to sell records, that's how they are, thats how they think.

justin, didn't you already make a post like this a couple months back?
LMFAO!!! I CAN TELL YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO SHIT I LIKE THAT IN YOU... I MADE A TOPIC SIMILAR BUT NOT EXACTLY THE SAME, I'M GLAD YOU NOTICED THOUGH... TECH N9NE IS PARTLY HORRORCORE TO ME BUT I REALLY THINK HE IS MORE OF A UNIVERSAL ARTIST (ALL STYLEZ COMBINED AND THEN SOME)... FUCK COMMERCIAL RAP!!!!!!!!!

COMMERCIAL RAP= LEGAL RAP, SAFE RAP, RADIO FRIENDLY MUSIC AND JUST NOT REAL LIFE!!! THATS MY UNDERSTANDING OF THAT KIND OF MUSIC JUST SIMPLY GARBAGE!!!!

BROTHA LYNCH AND TECH HAS ALREADY SAID THAT ESHAM IS A TYPE OF ARTIST THAT THEY WOULD WANT TO WORK WITH IN THE FUTURE, SO THAT ALONE SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING..

I wasn't talking about gangbanger shit though. Like ICP talks about killin people, but they're cuttin' people open with hatchets and shit, rather than drivin' by with a streetsweeper. If you made a movie based on the story, the ICP story would be like Friday The 13th (horrorcore) and a lot else would be a black crime film (Like Belly).

I probably just need to give Esham a few more listens, because shit I heard of his wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it didn't seem all that different to me at the time.
