who said it would be affiliated with strange ? they aint stupid they wanna keep everything locked down so they can release " Vintage Tech Vol 10000 " in the future... atleast if something proper was done by a fan the collections would be organized

put a limit on registration make it invite only make the first users to sign up needing to have something to contribute or be removed... only the strong will survive there ;) keeping the scene at its best and not allowing mp3s of cds that can be bought dropped or leaked thru the site... strictly hard to find/not purchasable tracks + videos/pics and information :)

Share to your hearts content, as long as it takes place through PM's. I would say go for it, but I haven't discussed anything with the admins yet as to what they'll allow to fly.

Not from me, you can't. That's an ADMIN power. Plus, it's not really worth it. It takes the same time to hotlink megaupload into a pm as it would to make one thread about it. The only difference is it's exclusive only to the person you're PM'ing. That's where sicctunes media share comes in handy. There's no need to sub out this forum and make it even more chaotic.

I get that, but in the time it takes to megaupload to 5 different people, sift through what i have already and look for the two or three songs i wouldnt have, i could have skimmed a large collection of what people have already and asked for just ONE link to ONE song.

I dont know why im debating this, i actually agree with you, lmao

i have server space :D and a domain name lol but i dont got enough time to make a website for it... but id be happy to work with volunteers who want this to happen ino theres a few hard collectors out there but there isnt many...

Website Designers, Graphic Designers , Tech Die Hard Collectors To Help Gather Information Thats Accurate, A Staff To Maintain Server/Forum

could be done by 1 person if they had alot of time and dedication to the scene ...


plus if the tracks was 2 be uploaded to the server there would have to be donations set up for its users to keep the juice flowing... and the tracks that would be Uploaded to the server would have to be ONLY items that aint up for sale by SM so SM dont care 2 much..

I thinkits a good idea. One of the older forums had a similar setup for music. I would like to see somethint like that again but we would probabyy need permison from strange and like you said the mone to do it.

its being done atm as we speak its currently being set up...

we have contacted SM so give it time than we will have some official word on the idea and what we can do on the site... but the site will be up SM will only change the way we approach it and set it up ;)

atm the staff have agreed to only allow 50 open users at start.. site will be heavily mod and invites only after 50 users ... so between now and tomorrow same time site will be up (HOPEFULLY)

site wont be open to public

Hit me up with an invite, or a link to the site when it commences..

I look forward to seeing something like this up and running.. I guess this shouldn't come as any suprise since how heavily I contribute to the Discography thread.. and I would be more than happy to try and contribute what I can.. if done correctly this could be a really amazing site.. I never saw T9HQ when it was running.. but this sounds promising enough to be able to match a site such as that..

did u even read this before u posted ? the only way it would get shutdown is if strange music thought the site was encouraging downloading of there products... we wont be having any links on the servers on products there selling... collectors are a community of people who do buy there favorite labels cds ;) the website is for a different purpose altogether
