Cruz said police told him that he broke a new law that prohibits people from taking pictures of police with cell phones.

"They threatened to charge me with conspiracy, impeding an investigation, obstruction of a investigation. … They said, 'You were impeding this investigation.' (I asked,) "By doing what?' (The officer said,) 'By taking a picture of the police officers with a camera phone,'" Cruz said.

The NBC 10 Investigators asked the ACLU union how they viewed the incident.

"There is no law that prevents people from taking pictures of what anybody can see on the street," said Larry Frankel of the American Civil Liberties Union. "I think it's rather scary that in this country you could actually be taken down to police headquarters for taking a picture on your cell phone of activities that are clearly visible on the street."

Cmon now guys The police officers are our friends, there the good guys here to protect and serve. He musta been taking their picture with a menacing guesture and trying to assault um with the flash.

Murda...homie you aren't making any sense right now. What the HELL is a THUG WORLD ORDER? Niggas drunk, puffin on zed, thizzin out they ass lustin after other niggas, drunk as a skunk, shootin gats sideways and missin the target by at least 65 feet? Wake the fuck up, fam. The majority of people cannot and will not fight back when the time comes. Why? Read the following:

1. The majority of people don't have the GUTS/BALLS to fight back.

2. The majority of people are too concerned with other B.S. (401k plan, flipping a benz, being on the block, chasin females, etc.)

3. The majority of people don't have ANY fighting skills whatsoever. They are not properly trained, couldn't shoot a target 6 feet away, can't survive off the land etc.

4. The majority of people don't have the finances or resources to fight back. Government resources/finaces = UNLIMITED. The average joe = can't even spare 5 bucks for a #2 at Mickey Dees.

Now, I'm NOT saying that YOU won't do anything, but I am saying when it comes down to it the average american is going to roll over and die.

Now as far as this incident is concerned it seems unlawful. If no new law has been violated this is a violation of this guys 4th ammendment. Was he CHARGED with anything or cited or was he detained and taken to the station?

It brings up the saying "who's watching the watchers". The more we move into a police state the less accountability the "authorities" take/have. When they are doing bad if its caught on video and gets out to the public then the public is much more likely to want to see heads roll then if the same incident is reported but only has the victims statement to back it up. A good example of this is the Rodney King tape.

In my opinion the only way the public will do something (public outcry, crack down on the polic, etc) is if this type of shit CONSTANTLY happens to white people.
