The Associated Press reports that when Clifford "T.I." Harris [click to read] reports to the Forrest City low-security prison on May 26, the award-winning rapper, actor and businessman will serve what will amount to a two-month stint. Initial reports stated the "King of the South" would serve 366 days in prison for multiple weapons charges [click to read]. The reduced sentence was due to a special deal which called for T.I. to remain on home confinement and complete a series of community service programs, including an MTV series.

Fellow artists such as 50 Cent and Mysonne leveled allegations of snitching and secret deals with prosecutors [click to read], which T.I. vehemently denied. Officials say T.I. will receive no preferential treatment, and he will face three years probation as well as a $100,000 fine upon his release.

"Unless there are custody or security concerns, all incoming inmates are placed in general population," said R.D. Weeks, a spokesman for the prison. If T.I. would have been convicted on all of the weapons charges he was initially charged with, he would have faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison as well as $250,000 for each charge in his three-count indictment from 2007

You would be surprised what money can really buy.

And either way, exactly WHO did he snitch on if that were the case? You think they just scooped him up on a gun charge, and they said "OK, if you can tell us something about Joe Blow, then we will reduce your sentence"? Cmon now, use your brain.

he had to buy the guns from somewhere right....

and not only that Im sure the government would just love to show that they can get to anyone...what better way than to make a public figure look obviously like he rolled over on some folx.......going from a 1 yr sentence to two months looks fishy for anyone, to say the least.....but for a convicted felon it looks more than that

Where is the paperwork if he snitched? I have heard a million times times about a dude i know that supposedly snitched, but no one has any paperwork. Same situation here, not just talk. We need proof. Show proof or be quiet. Anyway T.I has three wack cds in a row I am done with his music.

Him and his business partner just got a lot of money(millions) and connections in Atlanta . For those who dont know T.i. put in a lot of work to help rebuild his city he even gave many street cats jobs in his construction company.

Its funny though tip came out a winner he only doing two months and that bodyguard who really snitched is doing a year and will be labeled a snitch for the rest his life.. lol

If you had millions to slang to the court and knew the right connections then maybe you can too.

He has some kind of connect with the legal system remember last time in his trap muzik days(2003) he was sentenced to 3 years in prison but got released in a few months on work release program, now if that isnt connection tehn i dont know what is.
