You're absolutely correct, sir. The only promo I've seen since the beginning of the year has been in my trunk and in my hands. And that's only because I "talked shit" to Tech and ended up with that promo, and then uncannily ran into Snug, who in turn gave me promo for Word on the Streets. Strange Music has been in my favor this year, but honestly it has been taxing to get anything for months. I've been using word of mouth and sometimes it's better to produce something to listen to than it is to talk about how great it sounds.
hawke let me know whatsup or let britton know haha... the last promo stuff i got was from shawn here in okc right before the concert, i've been told i would get stuf sent to me ever since haha its all good though no complaints here.... u know oklahoma will promote for y'all we got N8!!! haha but for real im okc he is tulsa and we got someone on here in the panhandle haha if we all got together we could flood oklahoma with starnge music lol.. or u could just send someone in oklahoma some promo materials to give to other people in different areas of oklahoma to streetteam. sentall my info in though. send me some kutt promo first lol that date is approaching fast. -colby
I got a few Killer/Tales from the sick samplers from sawyer who in turn got them from kansas king. Thats all Ive got since everready. I was suposed to get several boxes but never did. So not hatin or bein a prick but Springfields promoter is straight slackin. SOLUTION- get promo to people that WILL do shit with it.
I can help Britton more now to get more out to you. I can give him direction and I am confident that he can implement. LDS, you are right on Springfield not getting a lot. Just Duece and the Highest Priest guys have been doing it there and I thought you got some material from James?
We need more promo in Springfield no doubt but it has to be reliable and relentless on campus there. That place is so transient. Check with Britton to find out if Springfield is on the routing and that way he can get show promo in conjunction with some Kutt promo.

I got a handful of promo from Sawyer from James. Either way, I need my own and can't rely on others to pass it down to me. I hope you understand I'm not being disrespectful, I just need my own promo. But like I said, I'll send Britton my number tomorrow and we can get shit moving. Just Duece may be doing an ok job, but they gotta work on their attitudes.
Just Duece got mad cause they didnt get on a show. They still cool but I feel you. The problem with retail is that they get paid for the spaces they put promo up. When we bring stuff in, they put it up if they have room. They then take it down when a paying label brings in promo. That is just how the game goes. The best places are the independent stores like Stick it in your ear. I will talk to Britton about targeting that market a little more.
It all depends on the location, and the relationship you have with the managers. I've developed a good relationship with a few retail managers that have allowed me to hang up promo in the store and left it up until I either took it down myself to replace it, or it was taken by customers. I'm talkin FYE, Best Buy, and Newbury Comics.
