My point wasn't intended to criticize the work you had done at Strange. I had been told many times by Lewn how busy you truly were. Alot of frustration from people came from seeing things being sold on eBay that people got. People that really wanted to help for free, when people that were getting things were turning profit from it.
No doubt bro. I know CHRIS BABONNI (yeah I called him out) was selling shit on EBay. I dont even know how he got promo. I never sent him any. He must have gotten it from someone out there who got a shipment. For all of you reading. DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY ANY MORE PROMO!!
I know that the Kutt promo is coming soon and so is the promo for the Strictly Strange Tour. Tour starts October 2nd

Unfortunately, I do not see any GA dates on the schedule. If people want to get Tech or any artist for that matter to their city, the best way is to gather a shit load of people to start calling the venues in that market and tell the promoters who you want to see. They go off of soundscan and radio popularity in a lot of markets so they don't really get the pulse a lot of times. if they don't know you want it, they wont book it.

like stated Boston def needs some promo. its a hard job for Lewn to do pretty much the whole east coast by him self. but he does a good job at it. but sending it out in smaller batches to a few people in the area would make it even better. i emaild you Hawke and explain our situation and ill be in contact with you guys.

Now, as far as the street teams, Travis has Britton coming in to work with them. I will be consulting with Britton to assist in the transition. Fancorps will be refreshed and the new tour begins October 2.
Please email all street team correspondence to [email protected]
I am still around and I still travel. I still rep Strange and thanks to those who have been supportive.

Yo, this is Britton. Travis just brought me in to help out with a lot of different things in the office, including the street teams. I've been in and around the music scene in Lawrence and Kansas City for about 12 years. I got mad love for the Snake and Bat, I can't even count how many times I've seen Tech play over the years, and I hear ya'll about the need for more/better promo.

I have to set the record straight though. I've been at the office for under a week and I can tell you that Eric is right on about the pace around there right now; it's crazy hectic and it isn't gonna slow down for a minute. Plus, Eric, after he and Travis parted ways, has been nothing but helpful to me in getting my head around this job. This can be demonstrated by the fact that it's 11:30 at night while I'm posting this and he was emailing me contact info and trying to keep me in the loop most of the weekend up to an hour ago. That's love.

There's a few plans in play to smooth things out and trust me, with a background more on the promotions side than label side up to now, I appreciate the need for a solid street team. Routing for the tour is still being finalized and after that I want to make promotion for Strictly Strange 08 my first priority. I'm gonna be reaching out to people that are on my street team list within the next couple weeks (tops), keep emailing to the street team address at strange and I will be in touch soon.

Also, I'm new to this forum and it's interface, so if anyone has any tips or tricks, please message me. Thanks to everyone for being cool while I ramp up to this thing.

Just wanted to say what's up and welcome to the forum. I don't think you'll need anything special to get around here. The only thing I think most people would request is for you to stay involved on here and keep us up to date with new info regarding promo and target promo spots if you can. I'm sure more people will hit you about promo material especialy when all the tour dates are released. The only advice I can give on this forum is to expect the unexpected lol.......oh and if Topeka is on the list for promo let me know....and if someone can get more Strange \ Tech on KJHK in Lawrence that would be great!

Thanks for the welcome! I will try and peek in at least once a day and make sure things are percolating nicely. I won't be able to hit every thread every time I stop by. Since you guys are the community here, what are some other good threads to pay special attention to?

Thanks B
I am working on our other list items now.
Once again, if you all are here to complain, try suggestions and solutions instead. We are already overwhelmed and I am working to help Britton do this in conjunction with working to get myself on track with projects.
If you all want Strange Music shows in your area, please contact the venues and quit bitching that "Tech has no love for...."
It aint about love for the market, it is that there is no promoters in that particular area that want to buy a show date.
I get those emails and comments on myspace and my email EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
The tour and Kutt's release are next on the list so I encourage you all to HELP and not HINDER the process. Help Britton to know your market a little better, help him to know how best to distribute promo in your area. These things are very helpful. On top of that please be patient with the process.

Britton, I'll send you my number, man. Things seem to move smoother for me as far as promo goes when I actually talk to someone. Email's often go overlooked. I'm down in the Southern portion of Missouri and handle promo all the way down to Little Rock, Arkansas.
