Nah...but as cold as Tech's flows are, there were alot of "traditional" rap fans who gladly considered Tech a gimmick because of the red hair. Even without the hair, these same kind of rap fans would see dude perform with the tribal face paint on, and would be quick to laugh him off, or worst yet, not actually give his shit a chance.
As far as KMK being a gimmick because they rap about weed 95% of the time? Well, look at the name. What do you expect. Young Jeezy always rap about crack. ...oh, "Jeezy raps about more than that. You probably don't listen to his music like that"? Well, same applies to the Kings. Not all of their tracks are about blazing up or whatever. It is what it is.

I think you mistunderstood me bro.. Im a fan of both... Tech and KMK are about the only 2 artists that I listen to on a consistent basis..
Im just saying that I have had people telling me that they cant stand Tech and that he tries to hard to be like some of the mainstream acts...
Tech aint a gimmick to me, KMK aint a gimmick to me. What Im getting at is there are always going to be people calling something a gimmick if they dont understand it.
Im just going to say gimmick or not both of them have a good fan base and thats the way it should be...

I hit the show tonight out here in Hollywood. Tech hit me with a v.i.p. for being the contest winner, so I got to go in and kick with with them...didn't talk to anyone else but Tech, Kutt, and Krizz. Shit was nice. When I was talking to Tech, mister cameraman came up and started filming so Tech started talking about what the contest was about and how I was the winner. After all that bullshit of me standing there like an idiot, Tech told me they are making a StrangeNoize tour dvd and chances are, i'll be in it now. -_- So if it all happens, look for the skinny mexican with the big ass pimple on his cheek standing next to Tech. That'd be me.
That was my first Tech show so I don't know if anything is new or old but I enjoyed the little remixes in the songs. The set list was dope too. When it comes to performing "This Ring" it's nice to see Tech move up from that old ragged ass chair from someones kitchen to a chair with actual designs and shit.
