I dont know because I was thinking about getting into the real estate business but since the market is fucked up I was wondering how easy being a sports agent is.
When everyone says the market is fucked, it means its the best time to do business for someone who actually knows how to SELL. When agents are dropping out of the business left and right, who do you think will be closing all the deals? The fact is people still need a place to live, therefore homes are still selling. The problem is most agents don't know how to find them in a down market, and if they do, they don't know what it takes to actually sell, and close the deal. In a hot market, this business takes NO skill at all, everyone wants to buy/sell, properties basically sell themselves. In a down market, skills are everything.

As a real estate salesperson, once the deal closes, you dont have to contact that person as much, unless you want continual business and referrals
Thats one of the biggest mistakes most agents make. Why leave money on the table. All it takes is a hello every 3 months.
