Spice 1 Readies "Home Street Home" (1st single "Im a Ridah" available for purchase)

im assuming this is the official press release for spice 1's "home street home" album. got this off of dubcnn's site. also the 1st official single "im a ridah" ft. san quinn is now available for purchase off of itunes amazon and rhapsody. dope track, much better production that spice needs to stick with, even tho this track has been out since last year. if im correct, the album should be dropping this august....

Spice 1 Readies Home Street Home - By : Chad - June 9, 2009

Let it be known that Spice 1 is back! Not that he ever went anywhere, since the east bay gangsta is the epitome of independent hustle & gind. With the forthcoming release of Home Street Home on his own Thug World Entertainment, LLC, distributed through Bungalo/Universal, he remains an unstoppable force.

Known for several gold & platinum albums which include his debut Spice 1, the classic 187 He Wrote, and the infamous Amerikkka’s Nightmare, as well as his many guest appearances with the likes of Too $hort, Ant Banks, The Luniz, E-40 and 2Pac, Spice 1 has never been one to change his image or his style, remaining consistent throughout his years on Jive as well as beyond.

Many fans remember Spice-1’s biggest hit, Trigga Gots No Heart from the multi-platinum Menace II Society soundtrack, which was also the first single from the gold-selling 187 He Wrote album.

In March of 2008, Dubcnn was the first to get an in-depth interview with Spice-1 after his near-fatal shooting which occurred on December 3, 2007, while he was sitting in his parent’s driveway. The new album documents that incident, and with that behind him, Spice-1 is determined to show the world why he is a legend in this game.

The bulk of the production for the new album is handled by Shuddum Down Productions & The Track-A-Holics, with guest spots including Too $hort, Scarface, Devin the Dude, Dwayne Wiggins, Mike Marshall (Timex Social Club, I Got 5 On It), Silk-E, Game, San Quinn, Daz, 2Pac and more.

The new official single, I'm A Ridah, has just been released today and is available for download on all the usual spots like iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody. So hit up the sites and show your support for Spice 1 & Thug World Entertainment!

Keep it locked right here for more news on Spice 1!

hells yeah. dope track indeed. if im correct that was suppose to be a twista n game track for twista's category f5 album (since game only shouts twista) but later spice got on it and now its for his album.
this is probably the biggest bay album im anticipating to buy this year, which everyone should too.... sounds like spice got his business straight and BEAT selection on point this time, as evidenced with leaked tracks such as im a ridah, home street home, carried by six, no love (for obvious reasons), the only leaked track im not feeling is "candy."
oh yeah that devin snippet track is the one im dying to hear the most...

No C-Bo? It'll probably be solid tho. I only worry about the beats these days cause most the rappers i listen to are gonna come tight on the mic.

im sure this will be the spice 1 comeback we've been waiting for. the BEATS sounds hella on point now, which alot of us complained about for hella long on these half assed indi albums he dropped, but then again, several of em were unoffficial.

only a couple more months til we hear the devin track in full: one of the dopest mobb beats i've heard in a loooong time.....

Spice fell off hard after 1990 sick. I aint looking forward to this at all an Im a huge OLD SCHOOL spice fan
so u werent diggin "black bossalini" & "immortalized??" bossalini was a 4-4.5 outta 5 album and immortalized was a 3.5-4 outta 5. his whole jive collection is worth buying. im a huge spice fan also, but imo he fell off after "the last dance." which was his best indie album after leaving jive with spiceberg slim being the 2nd best. all those wack indie albums whether they were fake or not still were average....

BUT maybe this upcoming OFFICIAL SPICE 1 album should change your opinions when it drops. ur not feeling his new songs? "im a ridah" w/san quin, "home street home", "no luv" w/game & twista, "carried by six." all are dope with DOPE PRODUCTION. this is the real spice 1 album on his very own label u should go and buy once it drops.

i know alot of us fans felt robbed spending hard earned money on those wack indie releases, but lets give spice a 2nd chance with his official solo album on his own lable thug world. he seems to have his business & music really on point this time.... support this one and we should get much more quality releases from spice...
