Just because he will play in the same system, he doesn't have the same players around him. Belichick is the one that makes it happen. Look at Mangini,Crenall, and Weiss,
Yeah, and all 3 of those guys were coaches! We didn't sign any of NE's coaches! Belichek makes everything happen on offense? You said yourself our system is just like the Patriots on offense yet Cassel will somehow fold as soon as he gets here? TG (96 rec. 1058 yds. 10 tds.) and Bowe (86 rec. 1022 yds. 7 tds.) is arguably just as good of a duo as what he had in New England with Moss (69 rec. 1008 yds 11 tds.) and Welker (111 rec. 1165 yds. 3 tds.).

Last season's stats.

TG and Bowe's combined #s = 182 rec. 2080 yds. 17 tds.
Moss and Welker's combined #s = 180 rec. 2173 yds. 14 tds.

2 out of 3 isn't to bad now is it? Not to mention Moss and Welker had the better passer of the two all season, while TG and Bowe had Thigpen just alil' over half the year. Throw Bobby Engram and Mark Bradley into the mix now and it would be safe to say he will have more weapons to use then what he had in New England.

The whole "won't have the same players around him" argument is weak. Like I said earlier...the only difference between the two offenses was the stronger rightside of the offensive line they had in New England, other then that it was about the same.

Now the defense on the other hand...we all know thats a different story...:ermm:

I didn't say you boy will fold, he just won't have as good of a season. It's nice to see you do your homework ,but he won't have the same championship caliber players around. I don't know if it's the water in NE or what but when they bounce, shit ain't the same. I'd rather have Moss and Welker than TG or Bowe any day. I understand that ur a homer but lets be realistic. Maybe y'all will better than the Raiders, Maybe.

This is a phenomenon that doesn't stop with former Patriots assistants. Almost none of the players New England has jettisoned since the Belichick regime started in 2000 have had a greater impact elsewhere.

Drew Bledsoe, Lawyer Milloy, Ty Law, Terry Glenn, Deion Branch, David Givens, Tully Banta-Cain, Tom Ashworth, Adam Vinatieri, David Patten, Damien Woody, Joe Andruzzi, Willie McGinest, Tebucky Jones, Marc Edwards and Daniel Graham were all cut, traded or signed elsewhere as free agents. None of them were better off elsewhere.

Just a little something for you to chew on.

So your only belief as to why he won't have a good season is what happened to Scott Mitchell? LOL (stop watching ESPN so much and do some homework on your own for once)

Moss and Welker are championship caliber? since when? I just showed you last season stats compared to TG and Bowe's and its pretty much a dead heat with my duo beating them out by a couple of receptions and a few tds. You fail to realize they put up those numbers on a 2-14 team whose entire offense was in shambles nearly the entire first half of last season. With Croyle, Huard and Thigpen leading the offense albeit with no running game whatsoever either!

Im not saying Cassel is the next messiah or anything like that, but what i am saying though is that the situation he is coming into isn't ANYWHERE near as bad as what the naysayers believe it is! That is realistic my friend not me being a "homer".

Drew Bledsoe is the only QB on that list. He went on to Buffalo and did pretty well his first season there and passed for 4,359 yds and 24 tds.(passed for atleast 2800 yards each of his 3 years there and had 2 20+ td seasons aswell), then moved on to Dallas where in his first season there threw for 3,623 yds and 23 tds. He might have not been exactly "better off" but he sure n the fuck wasn't no slouch either ya know.

I don't buy into all the hoopla about anyone who leaves New England during the the Belichek era goes on to shittier situations. They just know how to run a franchise up there is all...nothing more nothing less.

Cassel is no Scott Mitchell!

So we're friends, that means a lot to me ? I can understand where you're coming from, you have hope and optimism. My point was that people that flourish in NE, usually aren't a productive or successful. Imo, Cassel very well could be a bust.
In no means am I an expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express lat night. They way to tell will to wait and see what happens. Good luck in the 2nd best team in MO, still wont be better that the Raiders.

David Givens played great for us untill he got his knee blew out (worst injury you can sustain as a WR) by Rodney Harrison...

Rodney Harrison blew the knees out of two of the most talented WRs to ever put on titan uniform and were never the same after that MF!!

maybe if they were all in thier prime yeah....pending cassels success i think bowe can be a top 3 WR next year...im not sure how many chiefs games you watched but dude beasted...and he played against some great secondarys with a shittier QB (cassell, even if he sucks is an upgrade to what the chiefs had PERIOD)

Moss and TG are both on the downside of thier career....Moss lost a step last year and even with Brady back i dont see him doing close to his record season..

Bowe was beastin, I had him on my fantasy squad last year. but I'm not convinced Cassell will do shit. Not just because he'll be in KC and won't really have a good team around him, but because this foo has had less than a year starting and I think everyone in NE is interchangeable. I mean, when you put good players in there they do well (see moss & welker) but its not like they MADE the team what it was, NE will still do well regardless of who their QB is and Cassell proved it. To me, last season was jut a wake up call on how Tom Brady is not the god that people make him out to be.

Just a little excerpt of coaches interview about cutler that I completely agree with!!!!

"He's our quarterback. We can't predict the future. He's our quarterback, we want him to be our quarterback, we made that very clear to him and we hope he feels the same way," McDaniels told the NFL Network on Monday, a day before he speaks publicly about the feud for the first time.

McDaniels reiterated that trade talks never reached owner Pat Bowlen's desk, a sign that the issue never got to the serious stage.

"Conversations were had and we've never denied that, but at the same time it's our job to look at every opportunity that we can to see if it's something that could improve our football team, and that's what we were doing," McDaniels said.

"I know it's been a very public issue and this is something that I think happens more than people realize. We have a relationship, nobody knows where it stands right now, but it's going to get better," McDaniels said. "It will continue to get better, I believe that. I think it's something that both parties have to work toward a solid resolution. We have a good nucleus of players there that are looking forward to seeing him back at the facility and working with him. It will get to that point at some point in the near future."

this was yesterday...I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE DAY 1!!!!! IT'S THE ORGINIZATIONS JOB TO MAKE THEMSELVES BETTER NOT CODDLE TO THE PLAYERS!!!!!!

yeah I guess

but it looks like their attempts to make them better really backfired on them huh? (whether or not they would even be better with Cassel is a whole disserent issue)

however you look at it... the Broncos would be better off right now if they never even bothered going after Cassel

they have 2 options right now...

1. they lose their franchise PRO BOWL quarterback
2. they have a bitter QB and locker room issues likely from here on out until Cutler is gone

just face it scary.... this is NOT a good situation for your team bro

stop buying into McDaniel's bullshit... he's saying what you fans want to hear and making you guys believe everything is wonderful in Denver... don't think this is all media hype bullshit... there is problems in Denver

you seem to have this attitude like "fuck it... if Cutler wants to leave fuck him... we don't need him..."

really??? you don't???

please tell me who is gonna come in right now and take his place??

I haven't seen you answer that question yet

you're blind loyalty and homerism to your team is causing you to see everything with orange and blue glasses on... wake up scary...

DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!!!!!!

after seeing his interview on NFL network im certain that McDaniels has that snobby, full of him self big man on campus type ego going for him...ive sided with Cutler before i knew details but now i know exactly where cutler is coming from...

im not sure if Mcdaniels is going to come in and do a good or bad job but what i can tell you is..i hope his lil adventure crashes and burns just because he seemed so unlikeable....im not sure how you can manage to get worse then belicheat but Mcdaniels did that exactly

You really believe that shit Scary?

If a coach has to do an interview to win over the public about how he treated his QB…something ain’t right.

If he felt Cutler was his QB and wanted him to be his QB…he would have never even had talks about bringing in Cassel. And now he’s saying he never denied having conversations about trading him. But isn’t that why Cutler got all baby in the first place?

I agree you should always try and improve your team…and if that means trading a guy like Cutler then so be it. But it seems like your new coach went about it the wrong way.

You don’t have to coddle him…but he could have talked to him and been upfront about everything.

HEAD COACHES AND QB'S NEED TO HAVE A STRONG BOND.

BEING THE NEW COACH IN TOWN HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED CUTLER AFTER HE GOT THE TRADE INQUIRES AND TOLD CUTALUFAGUS THAT," I GOT SOME CALLS TODAY ABOUT A TRADE FOR YOU BUT YOUR MY GUY SO IF U HEAR ANYTHING IN THE NEWS ITS FALSE AND YOUR MY QB"..

5 MINUTE CALL AND NON OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.
