Nice number for Tech, but he could have sold more if stores had more of his CD's in stock..when I made it to the store after work(and people I know) they had already sold out..I just officially bought his CD yesterday...

he's off the TOP 200 list. albums distributed went gold, but he really hasnt SOLD 500,000+ records. im trying to find out how much he sold total so far

The Kansas City rapper’s first studio album in four years sold 21,887 copies its first week in stores, making it the No. 2 Independent Album in the country for the week ending Nov. 12. “When we were making it, I felt like Everready was going to be that one album that was going to break me through being in purgatory, meaning my blowing up or not,” Tech N9ne said today. “When they told me the numbers, it was validation that Everready is going to be that bridge to break me through.”

The Top 5 SoundScan markets for Everready’s first week were Kansas City, Denver, Seattle/Tacoma, Salt Lake City and San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose. The 21,887 units sold also marks the second most units Tech N9ne has ever sold in one week during his decade-plus career.

Everready (The Religion) features the hit single “Bout Ta’ Bubble,” gold recording artist E-40 on “Jellysickle” and production from platinum producers Rick Rock (Jay-Z, Fabolous), The Legendary Traxster (Mariah Carey, Twista) and Big Tank (Missy Elliott).

If Tech N9ne sold only 1000 records, ya'll bitches would make some reason why he only sold so little and say its pretty good.

I bet next week he'll drop to like #100 on the list because everyone that wanted his cd already has it.

Wow same exact thing happened to me. I twas sold out at Best Buy and freddy's. They prolly only had 5 copies at each store though.

Which Best Buy? The one by North Gate Mall had like 10 copies. I'm not really a Tech fan so I didn't pick it up.

Those are pretty solid numbers for a indie release though.

Word, same here I couldnt get it when I went to cop it at Best Buy, had to wait a few days and cop it some where else.

Tech was the #5 selling rapper last week, behind Diddy, Luda, Jim Jones, and Birdman/Weezy. That's pretty damn good if you ask me. Seeing as at least two of those albums (Jones & Diddy) have no real substance, I'd say Tech done alright.
