It's no classic, but it's not an embarassment, either...

IMHO, THE RIDAH's good, just not great. Only song that I thought was total garbage was "Pimp Pizzle"--that business of only having two verses (one from Spice, one from Dru Down) and then just having them repeat that damn hook twelve million times until the fade-out was a load of shit, straight up! They could have written a third verse instead of just repeating the hook...

Otherwise...as for the rest, I won't lie and say that you'll get the same feeling you got from 187 HE WROTE, AMERIKKKA'S NIGHTMARE or even 1990-SICK, because you probably won't. But Spice can still do it when he puts his back into it, as on "Cutthroat Game" (both versions), "Still Here", "Gangbang Music", "Nature To Ride", "Boomin' Pistols" (interesting re-interpretation of LL Cool J's "Boomin' System"), "U Gotta Take It" (with Tupac), "Behind Closed Doors" (part two), and "I'm A Boss."

But everyone's entitled to their own opinion--one man's trash is another treasure, and vice versa. THE RIDAH's not a CD that I'll play every day (like I used to with the older Spice CDs), but I think it'll be worth putting on maybe once a week...You might want to listen to it somewhere before you buy it...

PEACE!

The album was suppossed to be filled with Battlecat beats, but i heard the Ceo messed some of the production up and replaced all of it or most of it, the version i heard of it was crackin.
Most of the original album was recorded at my boy Tact Out's place. Too bad they went and fucked with the beats and changed hooks and verses cause the OG version was HEAT.............

You're feelin' that first track on the album?! That Indian sound moan shit is annoying as hell. I thought that was probably the weakest track on there...

Edit: This is directed at Ghostly
