i like your mag, i did biz with you before through one of my artists. magazines get at my artists all the time and when they bring it to me, i dead that shit in the water. now i don't know if they go back and say the boss said no or if they just dodge the dudes phone calls. artists can agree with and commit to a lotta stuff and the cat with the bread say no. and bread ain't always the issue. my artist j official paid more than 250 i gave him the bread only because he was convinced that getting down with you would boost his career. me personally i feel the whole buy an ad/get a interview game is fake. the only adds i ever paid for willingly was showcase and 916, because they both came and contacted me, did stories on my artists and put us in they magazines with no bread involved. i saw the impact came back and supported they movement because they supported mine. they let me see how they can benefit me.

Mc Twist was asked to be in the issue free of charge but declined. I called him personally. Alot of people said yes at 1st then said no.. Some of them rappers who have put a few cds out and some who have only done features. Every magazine charges people for ads, yukmouth, Messy you name it it dosent matter who they are, they have to pay for ads. If the Magazine hits you up and wants to do a story on you then thats different. I emailed everyone who was on the list reminding them about the deadline. Those who gave me there numbers i called. All we was asking for was enough money to cover the print of the issue. No money was really going to be made off this issue. We wanted to do something for the 408. Everyone wants a free interview or ad space because of what they have done. Some deserve it yes, but $250 isnt really shit compared to other magazines. If people really wanted San Jose to get some shine they could of helped out even donating a lil scrill if they didnt want to get anything. For years on this board everyone complained about why san jose gets overlooked well this is one of the reasons, we cant even get an issue out that is strickly southbay.
YEah TWIST was supposed to be on my new CD (which you can cop at: www.poent.com ) But i dont think he really wants to be a part of rap anymore. you can see him downtown San Jose all day. He got mad when I called him TWist. BUt hey much respect to the man. Hes the biggest to make it out of San jose. I mean Yo MTV RAPS WITH Bootsy Collins, (which i was in the video in 92' which they film in Blossom Hill by the "E," mall), on Lukeskywalker Records . Cool cat though, and i know its not write to speak on a MAN when he cant come to defense but what Ive stated is from my relationship wit him...he's a COOL CAt!

It wasnt that we was asking for handouts, we would of been able to press the mag if everyone one who said was going to send in there money actually did. Some sent in half and never sent the rest. I know what u ment tho shea i mean if anything, i feel that the photoshoot was a big accomplishment even tho the mag didnt happen. It was history for alot of those artist to be there, as sj rap fan growing up i got to see and meet alot of folks i bumped growing up.
i paid that skrill for the mixtape and the mag ad 100%. Daric told me to just let the money ride in a full page ad in his next issue which i will be in. So if everybody who paid they scratch just let it ride we can still get some southbay issue exposure, but in a different way. Then it could be available for peeps like you pimp to read on other artists like myself...MAGRUFF MUTTLEY...and more. Good shit RAe for trying to do big shit for sj408..MM
