Somebody explain to me the Geography of Atlanta

What's going on down there? Reason I'm asking is in the rap songs I hear all this shit about College Park or Decatur and these are suburbs, so are lots of the ATL rappers from outside city of Atlanta, and what are things like in these suburbs?

i know college park is still getto in some areas, they pretty much all black suburbs, aint much difference.. a lot of ballers move to colli park when they get a little bit of change, small amount, but its still hood.

colli park is a suburb of atlanta but its still got its rough areas like any other major city. atlanta, the city, is not a huge city but the metro area is (over 4 million people). most people, when they think of the suburbs, they think nice homes, low crime, and shit like that. but in certain suburban towns (especially in the atl) its worst to live there than the actual city.
you got cities such as east point, decatur, union city, riverdale,stone mountain, that are all predominantly black and all of which have its good and bad areas. like dude said, it ain't no different from what long beach or compton is to l.a.

alot of the rappers out of the atl are from: college park, decatur, east point, and atlanta (bankhead, swats, etc). they from all over.

Thanks that's what I thought just wanted to hear it from people who've spent time in ATL I only been there 3 days and I was in the city the whole time.

Well I live in Atlanta (originally from where my titles says) but anyway, thats basically it tho. Atlanta is Atlanta and the other places like College Park, East Point, Decatur, etc...are not Atlanta. Those are just places around ATL.
