Wario Land: Shake It! will be coming to North America on September 29th (and Europe as “Wario Land: The Shake Dimension on 26th September) and revives the “Wario Land” franchise which hasn’t been seen or heard from since 2001’s outstanding Wario Land 4 for the Game Boy Advance. Like it’s forebears, Wario Land: Shake It is a side-scrolling platformer where players can shake the Wii Remote & Nunchuck to attack enemies, gain loot and create earthquakes, among other platform-y actions.

Kirby Super Star Ultra is a DS remake of the critically acclaimed Super Nintendo platformer “Kirby Super Star”, which was originally released way back in 1996 and is long overdue for a face-lift. New modes for the game include Revenge of the King, Meta Knight Ultra and three mini-game challenges that support up to four players. Also included, in addition to the graphical face-lift you’d expect, the game also includes cut-scenes. Kirby Super Star Ultra will be released alongside Wario Land: Shake It! on September 29th.

Also releasing in September (a now busy month for Nintendo fans) on the 8th is Big Fish Games’ Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, a DS version of the PC staple franchise that features the classic puzzle-solving adventure gameplay in which they must trick an heir out of their million dollar estate. Puzzles will use both the touch-screen as well as microphone interaction. And in a first for the series, it will include a multiplayer mode.

Last up is Super Mario Sluggers, the Wii sequel to the GameCube’s Mario Superstar Baseball. Releasing on August 25th, the game features Mario and over 30 of his buddies (and enemies) from the Mushroom Kingdom taking it to the diamond for some intense, power-up filled baseball. Expanding on the Wii Sports “swing” mechanic where players will have to mimic a real swing using the Wii Remote, as well as using a throwing motion for pitching.
