Because most rappers are stupid. They want on a major label and piss and moan when they get pimped out. Do everything yourself. Fuck a label. If you make beats and can produce your own shit dont go to a major label. You will not be rich. If you are gimmicky and a sucka then do that.

im on some local shit at the moment, my release date is in my contract, so i got no worries. local labels are where its at. id rather make something me and my friends can appreciate rather than something everyone will criticize

So, basically what you're sayin' is that its the artists' fault if their cd doesn't come out on the day its slated? That seems logical :confused:

You do realize there's politics involved in the recording industry, don't you?

If anything, I'd put the blame on the distributor and not the artists.

i think what mr thread starter is saying, is if the artist was so hood, why doesnt he just pull a strap and threaten to blast the ceo or whatever for not releasing his shit on time

Its always 99% of the time the artist. Its just the way it is. They know what they are getting into. If they dont they suck.

I used to say that when I was younger and I knew that Bone Thugs was getting punked by Tomica Wright(Eazy's wife)..

I was like "how you gonna talk about killing everybody else and killing clones but you getting punk by a female out of money?" I was a kid then, but it does make the listener say "shut the fuck up about how hard you are and how much killing you would do when you're getting punked by some guy in a suit"(a female in this case)..lol..

Just make music, EVERYBODY cant be the hardest nigga livin..so that means somebody is lying...lol...

Yeah because I am the ONLY person I know that listens to rap. I dont have any associates or friends who listen to rap.

I would like to hear another Dre Album, but I am not anticipating it. Damn sure aint checking release dates. And you are just one person, who gives fuck what YOU think

Im not checking release dates either...Exactly my point...you dont hang around people who listen to rap...which if you did you would know that Dr.dre's album is being anticipated...Its just not me anticpating this. I actually have "friends" or "associates" as you say, that are waiting for Dre to drop this album. So yea im not the only one waiting for this to drop. SMH
