OK, I'm not a fan of women's figure skating. But, in olympic years it has the highest rating of ANY sporting event except the super bowl. That's a fact. Figure skating is the ONLY sporting event (besides superbowls) to crack the top ratings for all-time television shows.


As for the 1996 survey, it's the best comprehensive one I could find. But here's a bunch of other more recent surveys which highlight how enormously unpopular soccer is in the united states:

Nope Cameroon isn't in it this year..not sure why though. I have a couple good friends from there and they are really pissed because their team isn't playing.

And for the record, I hate soccer, but go to youtube and type in "ronaldinho"

I like Netherlands.But the thing I like the most in this World Championship is that European Champions Greece don't participate. Cause 2 years ago when we were named Champions used to say 'we are the fuckin best, bring us Brazil'. Now what? Fuck Greek soccer. On August we'll be strong on World Basketball Championship.:chinese:

shit ya homey u said it man,i mean the whole story around kalu is crazy,he was suppose to get a dutch passport right before the world cup so he could play in the dutch soccer team,now our minister put a stop to it,cuz he didnt make the test or some shit,so now he is back in his home country,wanting to kick dutch ass offcourse,this will be very exciting this right here,i got fridge full of beers,couple of homeys coming over,also 2 somalians,and they hate ivory coast,should be great fun.

Did u catch the poland-germany game,lol offcourse ya did,but that shit was a good game till the end.Props to germany on that game

Germany yesterday was CRAZY!!!it was here in Dortmund!never seen folks that crazy about a soccer match here!!!although Dortmund´s a fanatic soccer town!!!a really really fantastic atmosphere here!!!

funny, yet sadly true, story from israel:
a teacher asked her students to draw flags of different countries..
one of her students draw the flag of ivory coast..
the teacher replied "coasts dont have flags!"

Ahhhhhhhh 2nd down a shit more to go,damn that game was exciting,i really thought we where going to loose,with all those jackass moves towards the end,still both goals in the first 30 min where nice,and the iverycoast goal,was also a very nice one.Wednesday we have argentina,they won from Seria montenegro 6-0 we only won 1-0,i think this game will be fucking great.

The U.S. actually played with a little heart on Saturday. Physically, we intimidated Italy, that's why you saw that elbow/red card from them. Anyway, we still need some help, but anything seems to be possible in our group.
