Zest is also a word to mean "excitement" or "enthusiasm".
'Ways' is obviously a reference to throughways, otherwise known as highways.
So what we have right now is enthusiasm and excitement for driving on highways. But I don't really believe that is zest's real meaning. The subtlety and chansson of his posts leads me to believe he is a bit of a philosophy buff.
What does enthusiasm for driving on an interstate highway represent in the gestalt of being? The quickest answer would be "youth and possibility", but once again I wouldn't use such an easy out in intrepretation.
Youth and possibility are rezlly by-products of the American dream, which both envisions endless possibilities and celebrates the vitality of youth. So I believe what we really have here is a sort of celebration of Horatio Alger-like ideals manifested in modern day conservatism, the ethos of individuality.
Thus, Zestways is in fact a conservative, and a George Bush fan. His name is a nod to the "do it yourself" idea that is propulgated through their camp.
