the song doesnt actually have to be good to make it on national tv. the video looks quality enough, its just a matter of someone with the cash deciding to push it
it actually reminds me of that snoop dogg "drop it like its hot" - both are black and white videos and both are songs with kinda similar slow beats and no flows
officially smoking crack

lets see...snoop + pharrell = NO flows

40 + Keek = 2 of the biggest trendsetters in POP CULTURE PERIOD.

40 and Keek are responsible for lacin' the industry with so much game and slang, it's CRAZY.....but you compare them to the most overrated producer and the biggest biter in the industry??

smoke on playa....

no im not kidding. how are they so different? similar style beat, and simple, elementary level spits -
"jesus christ had dreads so shake em, i aint got none but im planning on growing some" - whhooooooo!!! fire!!!!!!! now seriously, this song is nothing special, no creativity and not on any higher level than any ohter talentless song on mtv or bet. so yes, it fits right in with the mainstream rotation
the song is a PERFECT INTRODUCTION to the Hyphy movement . it's a SINGLE mane, meant to grab the average joe's attention....and with the way this shit is all over peoples myspace pages, bulletins, various music websites...shit is workin'.

the video breaks down the whole movement mane.....dress, attitude, style, lingo, EVERYTHING. 40 slowed the flow down so you simple fuckers can get with it.

"Jesus Christ had dreads / so shake 'em...."

40 just said he believes Jesus was a darker shade....read between the lines mane.

this is 1000% BAY AREA GAME right here mane, for the nation to see.

The video is pretty tight, just can't get myself to like the song itself... the "dumb dumb dumb dumb" part is pretty... dumb? Also they should've put more Lil John in the video (with some "yeaaah, okaay" lines) so people will recognise the current video trend more.

Anyways, don't think this will blow up. They should've made a high budget "Get on my Hype" video in my opinion, that's a song everyone can dig.

The lead single, Tell Me When features another Bay area mainstay, Keak da Sneak. When the video hits airwaves, hip hop fans across the country will get a small taste of how things are done in Northern California.

“Hyphy music is like Crunk, but in a more up-tempo way” 40 says of style. “The culture is a way of life for Bay kids. We got the side shows, the muscle cars, we ghost ride the whip, we got the invisible driving, the music, the go dumb get stupid dances, we just actin’ a fool expressing ourselves. You’ve got to see it to believe it.”

The level of ingnorance on this board amazes me everytime I visit. Of course this video WILL be on BET and MTV. You cats think you can just make a video and them boom, its on tv? Hell no, there's a process to all of this shit. The video just got completed a week ago. Give it some time for the proper procedures to take place and then you'll start see it played. Some of you cats would be amazed if you knew how long most of the videos you see on tv were made months before they ever appear. Its just how things are done.

Honestly this is the best E 40 video I've ever seen. I guarantee this will be the video that gets this movement crackin on a national level. 100

The only thing you're acurate about is this being his best video. BET has a ban on certain artist and certain music. That is a fact.

i seen a jeru the damaja video on bet latenights, c-lo from the goodie mob and big gipp both got music on bet, the rest of those cats arent makin mainstream moves right now so thats why u aint seen em. you think lil jon and bmt would invest so much fuckin bread on e-40 if they cant even show the video, they would know whether or not it could be played. That list aint is whats not relevent, if u got a shitty single, it wont get airplay, tell me when to go is a hot as song and video, it WILL get airplay. Plus i heard e-40 on 106 talkin bout BET is bout to premiere it.
