So whatever happend to Mista Fab's Ghostride It Video?

He's backed by a major. The video came out. Got played on MTV2 a few times, and thats it? No 106 and Park, no Rap City.. nothing. Even Vans got premeired on 106 and Park. Fab is getting no promo at all. And the buzz from all the bad puclicity that ghostriding has been getting in the news is already died down. I think they missed their chance. Anyone have any info? Just curious..

im sure some of you know this, but every March, there's a big convention in Palm Springs called Urban Network, where the top major labels, artists, dj's, producers and magazines get together. Atlantic always has a showcase for its "under the radar" artists, who have albums dropping the same year. This would have been the point where they would introduce FAB to all these industry people as an Atlantic artist.

I don't think so...Sometimes you got to grind for your self and not worry about your label pushing you...You got realize how many people are competing for time on BET and MTV...It is a rat race, Viacom has been trying to eliminate independent music promotion for a long time now and these major label are allowing it...They don't get that they are the ones losing out in the long run...I remember when The BOX came along and changed the whole music game, that's the only reason I know a lot of the music I do today...So If they wan't to play "Leather So Soft" all day like it's is even halfway decent let em'...It just reduces their credibility even more...

I played this song (and the video) to a few people not even listening to rap on the every day basis. All of them said that the song is great and the video is sick.
