You get what u pay for. . . . .if you're creating a product for sale, u need to spend, get some beats from producers with a track record. if you got a album full of freebies, it'll sound that way. if you dont have a few thousand to get a product to push, you better step up your hustle. if you're a producer who can't make money off a beat, or you're sellin it for $50 it's probably garbage or you got no hustle, unless you're brand new. shit, i know it's its a different business, but i did my first cover for free, and thats the only one. I've charged for everything since. i get cats tellin me all the time "hook me up", "I'll promote us both", "i'm gonna blow up", that's all lovely, but it don't mean shit if I aint gettin broke off from the start. Some dudes don't spend, or they tell me "I aint tryin to spend anything on my cover, my cousin has photoshop" 9 times outta 10, we'll all be able to tell. there's plenty of $ for everybody in the NW, if your makin smart moves to make it. this aint a fuckin hobby, it's a business.
