I think that Turf Drop sounded way too much like Tell Me When To Go and that sound was 2006 and It's 2008. Besides Lil Jon ain't coming with it like he was in 04 or 05. I hope 40 got a some heat because Turf Drop was a weak song to me. Also the radio ain't supporting shit like they was 2 -3 years ago and If you ain't got radio you got nothing.

i've bought every 40 album the day it came out since i can remember, i just went and copped Sic Wid It Umbrella 2 today, he's definitely my #2 favorite rapper ever behind Pac....but fuck i can't stand turf drop. 40 came correct as always, but that beat is so corny, sounds like some PaRappa The Rapper shit...I'm hoping someone gets a hold of the acapella and does a remix...

leave the nigga be jack! it is what it is....40 is 40...i think he needs to do something else but let the nigga do what he wants....a flop single...40's latest biggest national single was probably tell me when ta go and that was considered a flop in the national hiphop scope of things....against the 50 cents, Kanye's and so on....but that don't make it a flop to us bay cats....the problem out here is they don't let new cats come up in the bay like it's even some type of blacklistin shit going on out here if you got some new tight shit...the bay needs new artists with new swag & style and words.....until then we gunna just have the same ass niggas for the last 20 years still tryna hold it down....

Turf drop was for the bay area turf dancers. Every other region has a song for them with what dances they are knowin for. This gave them a song to turf to and rep there area. Its always easy to be a monday morning quaterback and a internet a&r when its not your job, money, and repuation on the line. 40 is not where he is at today becuz of bad decisions and bad luck.
Wait until you hear more of the album then decide. Have you ever seen a trailor to a movie and it was good and the movie sucked? well vice versa maybe the trailor was not so good but the movie turned out to be great. You have to play the whole game for there to be a winner.
7o7 senator, 40 was still spittin fire on turf drop, i think it was just the beat that was just whack. 40 still killen people on theyre own songs! ex dey know rmx, so dont think people think he lost it, hes still a beast, but get a fire lil jon track wit 40, you already know what will happen, you saw it in 06, just what i think....

i aint here to argue but dont knock down the only thing the bay has going for itself. muthafucka's need to respect and help push 40 before bay rap becomes extinct to the outside world.
homey, I swear to God since I have been on this site, which is about 8 years now, 40 got more support from this community with his last album than damn near any other artists or album........motherfuckers were on here voting 5 times everyday on mtv and bet even if they didnt like his singe TMWTG....and people who never buy album were on here posting pics of the album they picked up at the store....it was the most amazing thing id ever seen in terms of support. No one wants to see 40 flop, especially the people on here. Keep in mind we got 40 to where he is at. I just think we as fans of 40 for the last 10+ years are confused with the single. We all know what 40 is capable of on an underground and mainsteam level, and turf drop just didnt seem right.

I just wanted to address that statement you made. 40 got a whole lot of support from this site, so we have a right to voice our opinion on the single. However, WE ALL wish the best for 40, cuz you are correct, he is the captain of this bay shit, and he needs to do well to keep the spotlight on us. I am sure everyone who hates the single turf drop will still BUY the album when it drops.
