so does the bay feel turf drop was a flop/success?

not hatin on 40 at all just want to see what you thin k. do you think its time for another single?????

i think 40 shoudnt try and make a song for amovement or new dance, just make a crackin ass song that he knows the bay will support ( which he has done for 22 years) and eventually there will be a big buzz here and spread nationwide, like tmwtg it all started here. fuck a movement and a dance

well when anbodys single flops of course they'll say its just a street leak
why make a hater thread to begin with. you didnt post this out of curiosity, you posted to hope the bandwagon haters woudl say how 40 is a flop.

and 40 gets video backing for every single he does. why would there be no video if turf drop was a real single? hence the phrase "street leak". turf drop was a buzz builder. nothing more nothing less.

i aint here to argue but dont knock down the only thing the bay has going for itself. muthafucka's need to respect and help push 40 before bay rap becomes extinct to the outside world. he is THE ONLY bay area rep we got that pushes a hard line for the bay and is respected by the other big doggs in the business.

with all do respect to too short who last album sold 15,000 or some shit 40 is our last hope until further notice.

the first line of my thread says "not hatin, just want to see what you think." i agree 40 is our rep, but yes im curious to see if people want to hear a new single. i swear siccness should have a reading comprehension 101 test before being allowed to be a member.

what you think 40 wasnt gonna come with a real single with a video on a major? i need reading comprehension? you need to be less game goofy and realize who you talking about.

i dont think he made it as a hater thread, hating is talkin shit about anythign and everything, he was wondering if everybody felt the same way about it as he did
if you make a thread with hating innuendos, it leaves the door open for the haters to rush out as quick as possible. why not word it differently to ask where the new single is instead of using hater terms and inclining people to openly hate?

I really felt like the "Turf Drop" couldnt be the single. it was wayyyyyyy too unmainstreamish. i'm sure the singles will be on HIT with a little better quality videos than "U & dat" still copping the album regardless though!

ok. just bc you have a singl out, doesnt mean your going to get a video from a major label. the song has to be a major hit before a video is even thought about. so let me ask you, does this song deserve a video?and in your thinking if you say no, your "hating" and if you say yes your lying bc we are not supposed to talk down on 40?

The turf drop did its job for those of you that dont know. A new song on the radio makes concert promoters excited and wanting to book shows in markets we been to with the old album. Turf drop has been getting anywhere from 350-550 spins a week on radio all over the country. Many radio music directors have called and say they love the song but there audience just dont know what the turf drop is. So a visual with a good video would do wonders. This song is also a shot in the arm for the bay to get some early exposure in the bay before 40 album and the more radio commercial singles come out.Now days its hard to break a rap single with a rap hook on the radio and not some r&b singer/group. Ask your self whats the BAY without WATER!!!!!
thats wassup
