Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Krizz, Mayday, Prozak, and Stevie's albums doing fairly well? Considering it's not exactly a major label release, these numbers aren't bad at all for "underground" releases aren't they? You can't honestly tell me they'd be doing any better on any non-major label. I don't know if Skat and/or Snug have put out anything since leaving Strange, but if they have I'd wager to say the sales are down from their work with Strange. Just for comparison's sake, Lynch was the only artist people really knew about on a wide scale before signing with Strange so I'll use his numbers. I'm going off wikipedia so if these numbers are wrong, let me know. Lynch released 11 discs before signing with Strange. His two albums with Strange charted 69 and 68 respectively on the Billboard 200. Only one out of eleven albums have topped that, and you have to go back to 1997 for that (and that's just his solo albums). So is the problem Strange, or is the problem that maybe Skatt and Snug just didn't really do anything particularly interesting musically? Granted, I'm sure they'd so better with Strange today considering how much the label has grown, but maybe I'd be more sympathetic if his music was... better.
Also, Word on tha Streets the best record Strange has dropped? Get the fuck out with that.
