I say good for him. He really needs to learn his X's and O's before thinking of trying to be a HC again. He needs to continue to build on what he was learning, LB coach then DC/Asst. Coach....then look to be a HC. He got advanced so quickly because Nolan brought him from Baltimore.
You can't just be a motivational guy on the sidelines, players look for someone who can make adjustments in the game....not someone who has to review the tape.

I look at Singletary's situation similar to Mike Tice.. he just wasn't ready to be a head coach yet. Tice failed, moved on, and is now excelling as the O-line coach with the Bears. Singletary needs a while longer on the defensive coaching side... I think he'll do great and I'm excited Frazier's got him. Eventually, down the line, these two guys (Tice and Singletary) may both get another head coaching opportunity.

Damn. And Cable still doesn't have a job. That's a shame.

Good for Mike though.
what was cable doing before he got the HC? offensive line?

no offense to the Raiders, but I'd hire singletary in a coaching role before Cable, he worked with Ray Lewis and Patrick Willis, I don't think there is a better motivator than Singletary that can coach Linebackers and he was one of the greats if not the greatest LB himself.

Still think Cable should of remained HC at the Raiders, Al Davis is a wierdo.

^^^Cable will land on his feet im sure

Singletary....I think he will get another Coaching opportunity. He'll do wonders on the defensive end for MN.

Cable is the OL coach for the Seahawks as of an hour ago.

to be fair, Cable wasnt given enough time to show what he can do, so maybe a HC position is out of the equation.

man i liked singletary but he was to hard on the players even if they performed well in the game he still wanted to critizies instead of givin his player props, like he was afraid of complamenting his players, tryin not to b over confident i guess
