im an nfl head and i want to see if some of yall are willing to do a mock draft with me.......just make the decsion based on the decison of what you think is most likely going to happen for that team....if you want give a breif reason why.....dont make back to back choices unless the thread is deaded out (wont happen ill keep it a live)

ill start

With the First pick of the 2007 draft the Oakland Raiders select JaMarcus Russel QB LSU

with one of the best up and coming defesnes in the leauge the oakland raiders will take a risk of taking JaMarcus Russel instead of brady quinn....hoping that his talent will uplift a fairly young team and get em back to the playoffs....OR he could be a bust and another wasted round one pick for the raiders......

@thascary its just a mock.....aint nothing be written down or anything.....plus if we factor in trades there will never be a mock draft.....cuz a lot of trades come on draft day it self.....ive seen mock drafts work before (there never right) its just something to talk about in the "offseason" its offseason unless your a colts or bears fan

Well get a feel for this...

Every offseason, New England's Tom Brady works with former College of San Mateo head coach Tom Martinez, who cleans up the Patriots quarterback's mechanics.

But last weekend, for the first time, Martinez worked with LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell, regarded as one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL draft. And what Martinez said should catch the attention of everyone in Oakland's front office.

After working with Russell, Martinez told some people that he never has seen a talent quite like Russell -- including Brady. Martinez was highly impressed with Russell's "coachability" and his physical skills.

Martinez said that Russell is the type of quarterback who can do everything wrong on a play and still have it come out right. But the fact that Martinez endorsed Russell as strongly as he did only reinforces the notion Russell will be going to the Raiders with the draft's No. 1 overall pick.

The Raiders passed up quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler last April. They can't afford to set back their franchise again this April.

Get a feel for this...

It's sounding more and more likely that Brady Quinn isn't going to be the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. The latest bit of confirmation, if you can call it that, comes from that guy out in California.

Carroll hinted at who he expects the Raiders to select with the first pick of the NFL Draft. He said that Kiffin prefers a vertical passing offense that suits LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell better than Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

"The kid from LSU is exactly what they're looking for," Carroll said, "more so than the kid from Notre Dame."
Honestly, Quinn is lucky if the Raiders go after someone else. Featuring a former Southern Cal assistant that many Trojan fans wanted fired in Lane Kiffin and his lovable new boss, the Raiders organization is hardly a stable and promising environment.

It's still a bit early to speculate where Quinn might end up, as teams might decide to work a trade and move up in the draft, but with the second pick in the draft, the Lions are a possible destination for Quinn. If the Lions opt for another wide receiver, the third pick will fall to either the Cleveland Browns or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A coin flip after the Super Bowl will determine which team gets the #3 pick.

damn, i don't know where to start for the cowboys.

i'd like to see lsu safety laron landry or florida safety reggie nelson on the team.

but i think i'll have to wait until a new head coach or defensive coordinator to make my decision on a pass rushing linebacker or defensive end. if we hire wade phillips as defensive coordinator, we'll stick with the 3-4. and if ron rivera comes to dallas, i'm expecting the cowboys to play cover 2. which means roy williams will be toast more often.
