I hear yall but you fail to realize that Pac was ON before any of our major rappers except Short and when you look at all of our Bay Area pioneers thats pushed 100 thow wow plus in the early to mid 90's Pac kept it Lit with them.. for us it's just unfortunate we didn't capitalize and keep it lit for the next ones after us but it was other powers at work to counteract the unity.... dig that.

strictly 4 my niggaz definitely had some shoutouts to oaktown, look no further than the title track. that track hits hard too. drums is sick with the thick open hihat "im comin' outta oaktown, bitch fuck around" im sure theres others mixed in there. i dont know about 2pacalypse now, didnt really get into that album. plus you got the Thug Life album that came out around that same time too. pac is bay to me

On a side note, Cougnut was on before Pac, seeing as how Pac said "Skanless" was a big influence to him musically. Many forget that Cougnut's "I'm Rollin" was the first Bay Area artist's track to ever be played on KMEL.
