aight aight lets break it down,

Im from canada, yeah i love hockey i love smokin indo and i love my rap (and beaver), what I dont like is shipping rates...

why the fuck I got people chargin me a million bucks for shipping up here ??? Im not sayin anyone on siccness did this, yall are all cool major props, but I mean the shipping rates for everyone are different...I know that Canada and States are both in North America, so why should it differ?

I don't care about money, I aint bitchin, it's all good in the end, but I mean Alaska is considered the states and shipping rates to there aren't any different from reg american shipping...and best beleive Im closer to sea town then i am alaska.. anyone know????

PS-that majik fool charged me almost a million for shipping to Canada, for some wack tape.. it pisses me off

because ebay makes it complicated to offer more than 2 shipping prices in their invoices.. there's only a section for domestic and another section for international.. a lot of sellers try to make things simple by applying only 2 shipping prices so that they dont have to adjust prices everytime someone is from Canada or a different country.. eBay also allows you to be able to apply ONE discount price.. so if i were to have a $1 discount for US buyers and $1.50 discount for int'l.. I would have to decide what to put in the automated field when buyers checkout because i cannot put those 2 different amounts in their checkouts.. basically, i would have to go on each invoices and make changes based on the discounts.. too much work bro so that is why the shipping and handling charges are the way they are.. if ebay changed up their settings and allowed sellers to have 2-4 shipping prices then most definitely I owuld adjust my S&H prices..

Therefore I setteld with $1.50 discounts for both US & Int'l buyers and charge $3.50 US & $6.50 Int'l initial S&H Prices

shit i havnt red all you wrote , but it seems to me like a fuck e-bay message. And you probably right. They make hella money every damn minute anyway. But e-bay doesnt "control" the shipping rate...the post-office does. And they fuck people up too over shiping prices that's for sure. I'm in France, Europe, and I can tell you that shipping prices are more expensive when I have to send something (anythang...CD, book..) than when I have to pay for something to arrive in my mailbox. Post-offices and international post services know how to make customers pay more money when it comes to products that have to be sent over the countries' borders... Sorry if my post isnt really clear but I understood myself lol :). That's how shipping rates hella reduces the numbers of bids on ebay, it's just too fuckin' high

looks like the u.s. post office got rid of airmail letterpost and call it first class international now, i think it's the same service as airmail but the rates did go up a little and adding multiple cd's seems like it went up alot, also adding registered mail to it is an extra $10.15!

i recently got hired into the USPS postal service and we just had a meeting about why they upped their prices. the ONE and ONLY reason why they raised their prices is because of the rise in gas prices in America. because gas prices are so high now...USPS has to spend MILLIONS more to fill up all the Postal Trucks/Cars across the United States. not only on Postal vehicles, but they also have to pay ALOT more to ship international mail using Airplanes and boats.

believe it or not, but the USPS Post Office barely makes any kind of profit on its shipping rates. USPS mostly makes their profit from the items you see for sale in the actual post office (like the boxes, packaging tape, and postal "collectibles")

with that said, you cant really blame eBay sellers for raising their shipping prices. sellers have to up their shipping fees on ebay so that way they dont have to pay out of their own pocket. not only that, you have to remember that sellers have to spend a lot of money on shipping supplies and also spend a lot of money on gas to drive back n forth to the post office everytime he/she needs to ship something out. so dont be surprised if a seller might charge you an extra $1 or $2 as a "Handling" fee

curious, do you guys put the value of the cd the same price as they buy it for on the customs forms or do you make it under 20 so they don't pay taxes or whatever it is on it?
