alright, what kind of market research did you do and what brokerage fees were you charged? Also how much % profit have you made?

(btw I have invested before just want to know if anyone else from here does)
Lol oh man.

I had two separate portfolios. One was this whole sophisticated one based on the work I was doing in a class of mine (diversified between sectors, using beta and all that jazz) to achieve the most return with little risk, based on my risk profile from the class. Four and a half months, one grand invested, around a two to three percent return annualized (not taking into account the fees charged) The market research I did was guided by my professor (i picked everything on my own however) and can be done mainly online. I'd have to rummage thru shit to let you know fees, but they were all done online. And I'm a buy and hold the stock type of person, not trading all the time.

My girl did the investing with me, but on her own account and her own stock picks (we didn't diversify between different financial instruments, like bonds, or anything like that. She bought stocks all based on her shopping habits (target and places like that). Her return over the for month period, annualized, was probably around fifteen times the return I realized.

Lol so yeah, there you go. warren blunt hogg buffet over here and shit lol

I do it because I pretty much have to.

401k, ira, stocks, etc.

I make money elsewhere.
It's just somewhere to stash it, watch it grow or dip, and get the tax break.
Last resort money if I ever need to pull out.
