sexual assult & rape?

is there a difference or is sexual assult a nice way (i know, nothing nice about it) or proper way to say rape?

we got a sexual predator/rapist running around in our nieghborhood. the news broke this week but it happened last week. my pops seen cops canvasing the nieghborhood today.

some fool posing as a county official promising people a way to keep their medical or gaining it. then does a quack test and has his way with them.

he got heat on his ass now. hope they catch this fucker.

rape is a form of sexual assault, but not all sexual assault is rape. hitting a girl's ass or grabbin her in a sexual way without her consent is sexual assault.

different places have different definitions of sexual assault too.
