thats basically what the article is saying...nobody cares anymore about artists "selling out"....its gotten to the point that if given the opportunity, the majority of artists, no matter how talented and full of integrity, are making commerical moves.....and fans aren't giving them shit for it anymore....at least not like they used to. both artists and fans have now come to accept "selling out" as a legitimate part of the game
so now when my rap career takes off i wont have to worry about my fans turning on me for giving up my rights to a song to play during a charmin ultra toilet paper commercial
