TRUTH! My grandparents were Northern Italian, but they had the olive complexion. My mom has some of the fairest skin I've seen, and I inherited that.

Then I have my Sicilian boys. Some of them look and are mistaken for Mexican, some of them are light with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. All kinds of factors come into play...location, background, etc. etc.

lol..Italy has like every group in Europe represented in it at some point so you have every kind of look over there. Germanic tribes, Italics, Ancient Greeks, French, Normans(Viking descendants), Celts, and on and on. I remember when I went through Italy from the Alps as far south as Naples. There were olive complected people with black hair and brown eyes up near the Alps and around Venice, and down around Naples I seen Gingers haha.

It's not like the 'native' look of Europeans is just blonde hair and blue eyes...there are plenty of swarthy people all over Europe..from Ireland to Greece and it has nothing to do with mixing with non Europeans...its just how they look naturally, lol.
