Last time Seattle won a playoff game to get into the conference championship was 33 years ago against Dolphins.

The Seahawks have now played an NFC south team in the Divisional Round 5 times in a row.

2012: Falcons
2013: Saints
2014: Panthers
2015: Panthers
2016: Falcons
They're 0-2 in these games when they let the opposing team score 20 or more points in the first half while being shut out. I think the key to this game would be to try and avoid that.

Fun fact: Seahawks have played three divisional road games under Pete Carroll and have not scored a single point in the first half of any of those three games. The bright side is they've outscored their opponents 52-10 in the fourth quarter of those games.. but still wasn't enough to win any of them.

Russell strikes me as the type of guy who is gonna give it a little extra gas on Saturday just because he is in Future's hometown. He has that small guy / need to showoff / look at me kind of mentality. I see him scrambling and doing whatever it takes to get points on the board.

Which would be great for us.

Meanwhile Matt Ryan has a lot of pressure to prove he can win games.

Hopefully Sherman gets a pick or two.

Super nervous. This could end up being a blowout loss IF they have one of their notorious awful first halfs that they seem to always have in the playoffs. But if they can score early, get a stop or two on defense maybe even a turnover, get the running game going sustaining long drives on offense, then they will have a legit shot. They can't afford too many mistakes against a high powered offense like Atalanta - they don't need to be perfect but they can't get burned repeatedly like in the 3rd quarter earlier this season and the offense definitely can't afford three and outs.

Man I hate pick plays really can't defend against that.
So the NFL rules dude said this should have been offensive pass interference and it was an illegal pick play. But of course the narrative with the NFL is always Richard Sherman this Richard Sherman that, fucking cunts call it fair then, call Atalanta out for getting a TD off an illegal play.

That penalty on the huge Hester return changed everything. Instead of having the ball at the 10 yard line and either score a TD or a FG, they start inside their own ten, give up a safety and the ball right back to Atlanta for another 7 points. Seahawks could have been up 17-10.

What I hate about that penalty is it had absolutely nothing to do with the return since it happened on the line of scrimmage.
