Simon will have his spot next year no doubt. Maxwell is a backup all the way. But lookout for Eric Pinkins next year. 6'3" 220. Hits like a SS, but has speed like a CB. He is a Browner clone in that he will beat the shit out of a WR off the line, but he is prone to getting beat if he lets you get by. Like to peak into the backfield a bit too much. Should probably be a SS, but they want him at CB.

Damn. No doubt if he's available Hawks will take him if Simon doesn't progress the way they want.

That Kyle Fuller da bears picked up in the first round from Virginia Tech looks awesome. In two games already has three INTs and 2 forced fumbles and four pass deflects. He's more of a traditional size of 6'0 but dude's looked like an awesome replacement for Peanut Tillman.

Fuller is the real deal. He also has a brother playing CB for VT at the moment, too.

Nice. I'm gonna wait a few more games but I think I'm gonna get his jersey. I bought Tillman's just over 10 years ago so its only fitting I get his replacements.(everyone and their mama bought Urlacher jerseys I said nah, Peanut is going to be around for a long time. Last a lot longer than my Lofa Tatupu jersey :hurt: ).

Btw, sure looks like #23 is a lucky number in Chicago. Jordan, Devin Hester, now Fuller.

Week 3 Recap Heading Into Our Bye Week

Last week’s game came down to the wire and I am proud of this team for the way we answered back late in the game. Peyton and the Broncos are one of the best teams in the NFL and a playoff contender every year. For us to walk away with a victory against a great team this early in the season shows the talent our team possesses. As always, you 12s brought the noise! You guys are by far the best fans in the NFL, and have established the Clink as the toughest environment for visiting teams to play in. We can’t thank you enough for that!

Per usual, the beast was in his mode! Marshawn has been a huge asset for this offense, week in and week out. His ability to shed tackles to pick up crucial 1st downs are what make him one of the most elite backs in the game. Russell did a great job managing the game and coming through in clutch situations. What makes him so unique is his ability to extend plays with his legs and keep the chains moving. This enables our offense to win the time of possession battle and put points on the board.

Defensively, we played pretty well overall. Our guys up front did a great job of penetrating the backfield and disrupting the rhythm of Manning. Obviously we had a couple lapses toward the end of the game, but we have corrected those mistakes in film and have been ironing things out during practice this week. As a unit we need to tackle and communicate better up top. This group is a few corrections away from being the same caliber of defense we ended last season as. I look forward to continuing to make progress toward that elite level of play.

As we head into this bye week, I am happy with the record we have. Our first three games this year have been against some high powered offenses with great quarterbacks. I am proud of the way we handles ourselves. We are taking advantage of this early bye week to rest up, study film and mentally prepare for the long stretch ahead of us. We set out this season with the same goal we always have – to go 1-0 each week. I can’t wait to get back on the field to get after a tough Redskins team. I hope to see some of you 12s bringin’ the noise on the East Coast.
